I witnessed myself, Captain sign every autograph that people wanted after practice at training camp( it was movie night, I think Rio), so it surprising to hear this.

I liked Munnerlyn he was not great by any means and would often get exposed on deep balls which always made me question why more teams didn't attempt them on him. However he also was no liability (besides deep balls) and seeing our current secondary makes me miss him.

Never liked Captain at all. I have heard a lot of bad stories about him and I don't think I was ever more excited to lose a player. I personally thought he was awful and never understood why he was so beloved on these boards. He was also on the record saying that he doesn't think what AP did was wrong and he would have no problem doing the same. This story doesn't shock me at all. 

 

Munnerlyn grew up rough so I doubt he really feels any empathy for a kid getting beaten or sees it as a criminal offense. I've heard stories too from friends who associated with the players(but it's nothing but hearsay at this point). 

 

Also I agree with everything Munnerlyn says. Norman is still just a scrub who hasn't played nearly well enough to justify his trash talk.

just because he signed autographs doesn't mean he wasn't a douche.

But I wouldn't be surprised, as much as fans want players to act like it's all about winning it isn't. Football feeds your family (and buys some shiny toys), if someone may take that away from them... they may not help

When Captain was starting he was absolutely the worst starting CB this team ever had.  He was a solid Nickel because he had less field to work with, but any time he had to cover for more than 2 seconds he was getting burnt.  I wasn't terribly sad to see him go either.  I'm glad he didn't help Norman, he probably would have had a negative impact.

so if you grow up rough it is ok to beat children with a tree branch. if you did the same thing to a dog you would go to jail. got it make sense.

 

if i was dave gettleman and the vikings offered captain munnerlyn straight up for josh norman i would die laughing. if josh norman is a scrub then i don't think there is a word that describes what captain is. good riddance.
