They wouldn't. They want as much cap space as possible for this offseason to make runs at Marc Gasol and others.

you usually want your wing off the bench to be a quick scorer ie someone like PJ. 

 

hendo is not really 6th man material. 

 

more like either a starter on a bad team or like 3rd string on a good team.

When Hendo was in his third season averaging 15 PPG on .460 shooting I thought he was developing into a decent shooting guard. Every season since he has taken a major step back.. Really sad.

You were wrong. He couldn't have started anywhere else in the NBA, so he wasn't developing into anything worth $6M per year.
