Offensive Coordinator Options

I'd like the Panthers to be more like the Steeler organization in that they would give more former players and even coaches a shot. I'll give them a ton of credit for hiring Ricky Proehl. I think they missed out on Brentson Buckner though. You got Frank Garcia in town. Rucker. Minter was hanging around. Develop and retain your own talent. For somebody that values loyalty as much as JR I don't see why you don't do that more. Those guys were successful for you and they know what it takes. You've already put millions into these guys why not retain talent that you've trained and built up. Some of those guys went to the SuperBowl.

That's why I like names like Chryst and Zampese. Theyve gone out from the organization had success got some seasoning. Why not?

alot like Ron Rivera,Mike Zimmer has been criticized for bad game management and inproper clock control there in Minnesota this year. one would only feel like his coaching seat to say the least would be considered warm at this point.

Yeah, no. Zimmer is a first year head coach who lost the best player on his team for the whole year and is starting a rookie quarterback. That staff isn't going anywhere after one year. Zimmer has made strides with that defense, too.

I'm not totally convinced that Turner won't be gone after next season though.

Bridgewater is their future, however, the Coryell is not the best offense for him....IMO.

I have never been a fan of the WCO and I hope we don't bring someone in under that system. I don't believe Cam would fair to well under that system.

I've never really been that big a WCO fan. If I had my choice of systems, I'd probably choose an Erhardt-Perkins offense.

It's true, however, that the head coaching prospects I currently find the most intriguing all just happen to be WCO.

I don't think Ramsdell wants to be a play caller. Not sure why everyone assumes he does. Some people are perfectly happy as a positions specialist, which he has been his entire career.

Very possible.

We all assume everybody wants to work their way up the ladder, but Jim Johnson was fine just being a DC.
