To be fair Stephenson was a heck of a lot better shooter last year, you can't compare the player he is this year to last year because it's night and day.

That's like comparing Bulls Jordan to Wizards Jordan.

Speaking of ignorance, didn't you want to tank last year?

yes I did. Would've worked out a lot better. I'd rather have Andrew wiggins on jabari parker than Noah vonleh

The 76ers have a vision and a bright future. They are gonna be are power house if they can retain all this young talent as they mature.

Yeah maybe in three years. We have a roster and the cap room to compete right now.

It comes down to getting these guys gelling together where they succeed as a team, not as a few individuals.

The 76ers have been legendarily bad since last year. Let's take a look at what they currently have that's going to make them a "powerhouse".

Current Roster:

They have Embiid. He will likely be at least okay in the NBA if he manages to stay healthy. Noel looks pretty decent. A solid starter in the NBA is what I see for him. MCW is an okay PG at a loaded position (sound familiar?) that has developed terrible chucking tendencies from playing on a team where he's the first offensive option. Wroten is a good bench guy on a contender. McDaniels will likely be a decent 3&D guy, but he's going to bolt after this year. That's all of their current "assets". They have Dario Saric, who may or may not ever even play in the NBA. They have their own pick and the Miami Heat's pick for 2015. I don't exactly see all this "young talent" that some people seen to think they have.

1.We're 12 games into the season (1/7) with a talented roster...Clifford will get this thing turned around.

2. We weren't near bad enough to get either one of those players.

1. Had we tanked, we would've been bad enough to get one of those.

2. We aren't going to be competing for an nba title with this current roster any time soon. Not with Cleveland, Chicago, and Indiana once george gets back standing in our way

And just personally I'd rather be Atlanta and be mediocre treadmill team that is enjoyable to watch every year than be like a Milwaukee, a Philadelphia, or what we were two off seasons ago. A team that squeaks into the playoffs once every 10 years and compiles "assets".

i like having hope, not knowing for a fact I'll be a 1st round and out, or if my team gets lucky a 2nd round and out team every year

I'd rather watch decent basketball than hope for a pipe dream. The NBA is a star driven league. Even if you have the #1 pick the chances of getting a player that will bring you a championship are small.

1. You obviously don't understand how tanking works. In order to tank a season you already have to have a poor roster in place... we did not.

2. How do you know that we won't be competing for a ship on three years? Cho has done an awesome job managing the cap and has given us the ability to add a solid roster in every offseason for the next three years. With the cap going up, we're in great shape.
