Turned it off as soon as I heard him on. Did the same thing when Smitty used to be on. I do the same thing whenever DeCoud is on. I hate hearing players on the radio just saying what they are "supposed to say."

 

You can listen to every interview in the history of athlete interviews and you'll hear the same thing they always say. It's almost as big of a waste of time as listening to politicians repeating the same talking points over and over.

Says Rivera has not lost the locker room and that it's on the players, not the coaches, for the string of losses. Players aren't doing their jobs.

Thomas Davis is the last player in the NFL who would bash his FO or coaches after everything the team has done for him. There was a higher probability of TD punching Frank in the throat than saying something negative.

Didn't say I was buying it either. Just that we fans really have no idea what is going on inside the locker room or with the players. We are just playing the weekly over react game that has become the favorite past time on the huddle.

Yea I see us busting loose when we are eliminated from the playoffs. We will start winning and go from top 5 pick in the draft to out of the top 10.

As soon as the coaches let their players play and get out of their star players way, then I will agree with TD. Until then it is definitely the coaching.

 

Think about it.

 

Your game changers on defense are TD and Luke. You need pressure on a QB for the defense to produce turnovers and make mistakes. So, what do the coaches do? Drop TD and Luke into deep coverage. While they do this better than most LBs, this is still the weakest part of their game.

 

On offense you have Cam, Olsen, and KB. What do the coaches do? They feed the ball to their OL, Injured and undrafted RBs, Avant, Cotchery, and Philly Brown in the first half. They lean on Cam, Olsen, and KB with all the pressure on them coming from behind. If they do catch up, then they go away from Cam, Olsen, and KB all over again. They leave Olsen in to block. They refuse to keep feeding KB deep to the sideline when he is beating his defender. They refuse to scheme roll outs with Cam to move the defense and shade away from the pressure. They run routes that require a near perfect pass by Cam. You rarely see routes designed to get the receiver open.

 

The worst of it on offense is the Coaches lean on the worst OL in the NFL as if it will miraculously get better in key moments of the game. Meanwhile Cam, Olsen, and KB just watch.

 

Get out of your players way and let them play to their strengths. This team is hell bent on playing to their weaknesses and bluffing with their strengths.

 

Blitz TD and Luke more to add the pass rush you need. Let Cam audible more to plays he is confident in. Stop forcing Cam to go through his progressions with an OL that cannot block for more than 2 seconds. Never keep Olsen in to block on a passing play. And feed KB more down the sideline. Cam and KB will make mistakes, but your rewards will be so much more while taking risks when key moments arrive like needing a first down to drastically increase your probability of winning at the end of a game.

 

This coaching staff has no clue what the problem is, because they refuse to look at themselves as the weakest part of this team.

Hmmmm...Jason Avant said it and received  a one way ticket out of Charlotte. Rivera  had watched Avant in practice and games all season,said he was released because he couldn't get seperation.

 

If it took Rivera all season to realize this fact,he is either as dumb as a brick or lying about the cause of Avants release.,take your pick.

I said there is something bigger then what we think that's going on earlier this season. The writing is on the wall. It didn't get this bad until the GM came in. TD isn't going to say anything bc of what happened today to Avant. It basically was a scare tactic to stop others from speaking their mind. The writing is on the wall about what's going on. The organization could very well go down hill now because of it. Players talk to other players around the league and Avant will be warning others about the organization. Money talks yes, but our GM not handing out big contracts to bring people in. Hell he won't for the people that's already here. The panthers seem to want to become the raiders.
