Yes and the other part is calling out others who deserve blame but aren't holding themselves accountable, while trying to motivate them to do better. Avant probably shouldn't have said anything to the media, but what he said is the truth and needed to be said. Rivera's a so-called leader yet all he fuging does is blame players and call out specific players - even ones who don't have nearly as many mistakes as he does.

Gotta agree with this - when has Rivera taken the heat for his players? I can't recall any. I'm really starting to question if Ron sparked our 11-1 run last season. I'm starting to believe it was Smitty calling the players meeting.

I don't agree that publicly calling anyone out is of benefit to the team.  It should be done privately.

 

Rivera is setting a poor example, IMO

Frank, a former player, should not have pushed the issue as much--tried many times to get Davis to bash the play calling.  When Davis said what he had to say, Frank started arguing with him.  Asked TD to call out Deangelo.  I understood where TD is coming from--his team is a game out.  Never bash coaches or teammates (see Avant, RGIII).  Get off his back, Frank.

 

 

Wow that's unprofessional.

 

If only Kroeger could do 10 hours of radio per day.

I agree that's why I said it probably shouldn't have been said to the media. But what he did do by saying it to the media isn't deserving of being cut. And what he said wasn't even that bad. It wasn't directed specifically to the coaching staff.

There are a lot of issues with the Panthers and those who think they can put their finger on the absolute correct ones are fooling themselves.

 

For example, does our line suck?  Most would say yes because they break down in pass coverage and cannot open holes for the RB's.

 

But then, they turn right around and criticize the play calling.  "you shouldn't call that play, you know we can't block"

 

Sort of ties your hands as an OC, who I am not defending, but if you can't block for the run nor the pass, it kinda limits you.

 

This scenario goes on ad naseum for the Cam needs weapons, Cam needs blocking, Cam needs coaching, Cam is a broken man, his receivers can't catch, can't get separation, he has bad mechanics, throwing off his back foot or flat footed, overthrows continuously, and on down the line.

 

Arguments and then contradicting counter arguments.

 

The Huddle is a blast.
