I think everyone knows our coaches suck. Philly is fast which Avant and Cothery are not. Teams will have to respect that. Kid should have seen the field a lot more this season, but as is typical Rivera, they wait until the season is a loss to make the changes.

Ginn has "holy fug did you see that" speed that I haven't seen from Brown. He hasn't played poorly when given the chance however so I hope he kills it for the rest of the season.

Brown was responsible for the single worst play of the entire season (aka the 2014 Nakamura Award)'when he fuged up that punt return against Pittsburgh

How someone could say he is at all comparable to Ginn is beyond me. Ginn was a very reliable punt returner last year as well as a solid 3rd receiver.

I don't think it's that extraordinary for aint's fans to convert.

 

 

God, you don't know how bad I'd love to have more convert taint fans.  I grew up in a Saints household, in the heart of Saints country.  In 02, I was a freshman in college, and 18 years old, and the Saints refused to even give Jake a chance to play and kept playing turd Aaron Brooks while injured down the stretch to missing the playoffs.  in the offseason when Jake was a Free Agent, I said I'd follow whatever team he went to, and he went to Carolina.  Little known fact, 105.1 KPEL in lafayette broadcasted the games on the radio during Jake Delhommes seasons in Carolina.  I followed during the super bowl run, but I was still on the fence, then Katrina Happened.  I gave up on the Saints for good then and it was simple logic..If I was a fan of a team due to their location, and Fatass Car Salesman Dickhead Tom Benson was willing to move a team to San Antionio, and continually go back to the state and force taxpayers to pay for things he clearly has the money to pay for, then I have no need to be a fan of his team.  Since the 05 season, I've been die hard.  I got my Smith Jersey in 07, and wore it proudly every year, even the abortion that was the 2010 season.  I never knew that I'd be offered a job IN Charlotte 11 years after I became a Panthers fan, it's been a fun ride.  I can't wait to go to the Bucs game (I know, its a bad game...but I have a family to support and a special needs child, so finances are quite short on my end) just so that for the first time I can really be around my people.  I don't care where I sit, or how bad of a season, I'm just ecstatic that I get to be in BOA.  Good or bad, they're my team and I can't wait.

He's decent but I wouldn't compare him to Ginn. Philly also catches every ball with his chest. He needs to learn how to get out of the punt returner mode and learn how to catch with his hands

Ginn is a better return man and has more speed, where as Brown has better hands and is a better receiver than returner but that's just IMO.

How many targets should an undrafted rookie get in the first couple of weeks?  Then he missed 3-4 games with a concussion. I. Don't understand the coaching criticism on this one. When you complain about everything, you look like a whiner and lose credibility. 

 

I question the fans on this board sometimes. Someone catch a pass or two, they are a star. Hold your horses people. But I do understand, we have to find bright spots for this depressing season.

Why were we playing avant and catch over brown? Simple, Rivera seems to believe in the fact you play who you pay, and more money is being spent on avant than philly. Show me an instance on the roster where a backup is making more than a starter who isn't on a rookie contract. That's why it took forever for them to cut Godfrey, why Cason was given a pass while white got benched, why Harper continues blocking cole and boston, and why brown was buried on the depth chart with avant and cotchery shitting the bed. This infuriates me, in fact, this was why I became a panthers fan when the saints did the same fuging thing to jake with Aaron brooks stinking up the starting qb spot. Our depth chart is based on bank account and not talent.

A better question would be . "I'm still trying to figure out why it took so long for Rivera and the coaching staff to play Philly Brown more at WR."
