If the fan base is stupid as hell, why don't you go find another pastime activity rather than flaming people on message boards for their opinions, TROLL!!!

if you ignore the sound reasoning about Avant and the WR situation then you may think he is a troll but...now telling the truth is trolling.

No, calling an entire fan base stupid as hell is trolling.  And prety sure that's what I addresed...Yep just re-read it, it is.  I didn't argue against his point.  In fact, I agree with his point.  Avant has not been producing and I would rather see Philly get the reps too.  But insulting people on message boards is being a troll.  I honestly don't know why people waste their time doing it.

sorry but the conclusion based on the premise is warranted. it is a generalization but not trolling.

Who are they blaming? This is as much a self-indictment as anything against Avant. They are admitting that they made a mistake with their plan to count on Underwood, McNutt, or King to provide the speed on offense. Avant is a good possession receiver, but he has never been known to be great against man to man coverage, and they knew this coming in. But without a speedy receiver, they were forced to misuse Avant...and Cotchery to some degree.

And with the huge need for speed on the outside, they really want to give Philly a try, as well as to see if Pressley can step up. Also, with Tolbert coming off IR, they had to create a roster spot, and with the focus shifting to the young guys, Avant became unnecessary.

I'm talking about a pattern here with this team. They hide behind players when they are the ones f'n up. They are insulting the intelligence of the fanbase. That explanation was total BS! They coach like COWARDS! How is it Cams fault or Avants fault they are COWARDS! The owner and GM hide all year long and DON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILTY. Its a pattern

Remember when they cut Chris Harris for a tweet. The BS didn't start yesterday. It starts at the top

See, I don't remember one instance where I felt they were throwing anyone under the bus.  I've heard explanations, and I've heard them mention areas that guys need to improve to get more play, but none of that was derogatory or slamming them...and usually was just pointing out the obvious.  Even with Avant, they didn't put him or his play down, just stated the obvious fact that he isn't a speed guy that struggles in man to man coverage as a reason for moving on.  We simply need a specific skill set that he doesn't possess, so they are looking elsewhere to see if they can find it.  Doesn't mean Avant is a bad player, just that he doesn't fit what we currently need.  I think this is just another outlet fans use to release their anger at how the season has gone.

And as far as the GM and Owner not commenting during the season, that is their pattern...and truthfully, exactly what most other owners and GM's do.  You don't hear from them during the season unless they are making some sort of major change.  But most like to stay in the background...at least those not named Jerry Jones.

In all reality, we are a fraction away from sitting here at 0-11

If the safety from Tampa catches the ball in the 4th against DA, they probably go on to score

If the Lions didn't have a horrendous rookie kicker and Calvin didn't drop that TD, we'd have lost that game

If Jay Cutler didn't go Jay Cutler and sure handed Forte didn't gift us one in the Bears game, we would have lost that game

If Mike Nugent could hit a 36 yard FG, we would have lost that one.

You could make a case that we potentially could have won the falcons or seahawks game if things were different, but that is about it.

The Ravens, Steelers, Packers, Eagles, and Saints all manhandled us

We are a lot closer to the likes of the Raiders than people want to realize.

yep the only difference is we have a good year every gor or five years

the big problem is that they are displacing blame on others rather than owning their own mistakes as coaches.

the one time in rivera's career here that he actually admitted he made mistakes and needed to change direction, what happened? riverboat ron. the rest of his tims here the blame has always laid on the players (according to him and the coaches) and the players inability to execute. the players have also said that it was on them without placing blame on the coaches, but that's probably for a good reason....what happened to avant?

yes...the players haven't done well. they've made mistakes and, esp. in regards to the OL and second secondary, they have really been asked to do more than they are capable of (which is ultimately a management problem, tbh). but anyone can see that the coaches have made error after error in the way they have handled the management of games, yet all they seem to be capable of doing is displacing that blame.

until rivera & co. acknowledge the blame that falls on them and make a concerted effort to improve, we will keep seeing the same thing happen.

I haven't seen them lay blame on anyone, players or themselves.  I think most of that is disgruntled fan interpretation, not what the intent is.  Rivera has talked about mistakes he's made in the past, but there is no way he's going to lay blame during a difficult season.  There's nothing productive to doing that...except to appease upset fans.

Honestly, they don't need to direct the blame to anyone, including themselves.

Anyone with half a (football) brain knows that we have a terrible OC, and a HC who is woefully underprepared to be a NFL head coach.

We know it's the coaching, and they do too.....what is the point in calling out Shula at this point, the season is lost, and RR is going to be looking for a Realtor soon.
