Prob done so Rivera want lose more of his locker room. Panthers also always have a member come out and speak when things turn ugly.

Good thing Cam didn't say it. The Huddle would have exploded. 29 pages would pale in the comparison if Cam ever says something similar

Cam has said it, just less blunt about it. Both Cam and Olsen are visibly frustrated with what is going on.

Oh believe me, I've been playing very close attention to what's said in post game interviews, and social media. I just would love for either one of them to come out just like Avant did.

That's likely exactly what the FO is trying to keep from happening, but still, I'd love to see it, if for nothing more than the FO to sit there and eat it!

Nobody is that upset that Avant got cut. We're upset that the coaching staff is trying to ignore what is obvious. They have no balls, no innovative gameplan, and play it "safe" to keep a job. They ask players to give 110% yet they only give 50% because they only "take what the other team gives them" and are unprepared to bury an opponent. They coach with a very passive mentality. You're allowing the opponent to dictate to you what you're going to do. "Riverboat Ron" was born because we thought he finally grew a pair now they've shriveled up completely.

It's not about Avant, it's about them once again blaming players for their own shortcomings. It's not always the players failing it's coaching. Shula, Rivera, don't let Cam stand up there and take all the blame!!! F'n nut up and take responsibility! People respect THAT more than the foolishness you come up with.

Right....go talk to your boss about it. Don't go talking to the editor of the industry publication about your boss

But, to his point...if your boss was publicly blaming you and your coworkers for his mistakes, it would come to a point of standing up for yourself. Yes, it would be nice if both parties discussed things behind closed doors, but that was not the case from the start. Unfortunately, the party that started the blame game has the authority over the one publicly holding him accountable to let him/them go.

Who are they blaming?  This is as much a self-indictment as anything against Avant.  They are admitting that they made a mistake with their plan to count on Underwood, McNutt, or King to provide the speed on offense.  Avant is a good possession receiver, but he has never been known to be great against man to man coverage, and they knew this coming in.  But without a speedy receiver, they were forced to misuse Avant...and Cotchery to some degree.

And with the huge need for speed on the outside, they really want to give Philly a try, as well as to see if Pressley can step up.   Also, with Tolbert coming off IR, they had to create a roster spot, and with the focus shifting to the young guys, Avant became unnecessary.

For the record, I think despite what the team says publicly, they realize this is a lost season, so they are giving Philly and Pressley a chance to show they can be the answer to our need for speed.  If one or both do well, I wouldn't expect WR to be a big priority this offseason, but if neither stands out, the team will be forced to look for a guy with speed in either FA or the draft.  And with the dire needs at OT and DB, I think they would prefer to be able to back-burner WR...at least for this year.

Even if you mute it the curse is there.

And although the "boss" has the power to cut the players, this isn't a typical employer employee relationship.  Many players are making more than their "bosses" and when they are showing signs of incompetence like here, they are trying to plug a leak in a sinking ship with the last remaining plug.

If this happens again, they lose.  You're on the clock Ron and Shula, if the players have to question your in-game decisions again, you've lost the team.  Cutting anyone isn't going to help.  You already stink... putting deoderant on after isn't going to help a thing.

LOL as much as a coincidence it is that Avant speaks out, then gets cut, that is not why he got cut.

Big players make big plays during big moments, Philly Brown made a huge play Sunday, PHILLY BROWN STEPPED UP. We've been starting 3 receivers that basically do the same thing, or are basically the same type of receiver.

NO POINT in keeping Avant, might as well let Philly see the time he was seeing on the field in which Avant did basically nothing. You guys are nimrods, OMG AVANT jesus christ its like we cut Steve Smith again.

Obviously we need SPEED on offense and that SPEED paid dividends on Sunday, has Avant's "amazing over the middle grabs" or his what 300 yards receiving paid any huge dividends this season? No they haven't

God this fanbase is stupid as hell, mad at cutting JASON AVANT lol I tell ya

If the fan base is stupid as hell, why don't you go find another pastime activity rather than flaming people on message boards for their opinions, TROLL!!!

After greg and Alexander stories, all the injuries, now all this mess..

I can't wait for the 2015 season to begin.............................

more of the same in 2015, Avant will be back they will just spell his name different along with Harper, Decoud, and Cason.until G-man gets a clue and Shula at the very least is fired we are in perpetual dumpster mode.shula may get fired but G-man won't change and neither will the annual thrift shop bargain players.
