This is why the QB and supposed leader of the team needs to say something. Instead a low level player tried to lead since nobody else will and got shown the door. Pathetic weak franchise

A leader says something to the coach - not fugging Joe Person. Why is that so tough for people to understand?

You don't lead by going to the media about team business...no matter how much people on here think you should.

If its petty then no. But when you sitting at 3-7 cause of dumbness, say what you have to say. All the media do is ask questions, questions the people want answers too. Sometimes the truth just hurts

The truth is that you talk poo on your boss you usually get fired. That also hurts.

Well I agree to a point. What kind of boss can't take constructive criticism by a veteran employee...If my boss kept fuging up my sales he'd hear about it too.

But the parallels between the nfl and the real working world are non existent.

Right....go talk to your boss about it. Don't go talking to the editor of the industry publication about your boss

Uhhhhh.....no they don't. Not with most teams.

In season, no GM is going to cut a player the coach wants. On the other hand, coaches can certainly go to the GM in season to say he no longer has need for a given player. It is then up to the GM to either disagree and override or go along.

It is a different ballgame in the offseason.

Avant sucks. Tolbert is coming back. Would you rather cut Bersin, Philly, or Whittaker and keep Avant?

Avant is not the problem. And they really think this is the move that will set the offense on fire?

They had an opportunity to go in a different direction and now we find out not only will they stay the course but they might be here past this season. That's a real gut punch.
