Well by definition, 200 yards and 1 touchdown is not exactly the definition of nothing. So there's that. Also, the bolded text there is not at all what I said. "He was a very well liked guy as well from what I understand" is simply pointing out an observation. Can we move on now?

 

I'm not sure why you are getting hung up on this. The fact of the matter is our staff is pissing the season away, and if we're going to start cutting players and making them scapegoats, we should probably start with someone else. Particularly the tackling dummies on our OL.

I agree with Avant's statement 100%. But I have more of a problem with a player taking his comments to the media than I do our FO handling him for doing it. Mix in the fact that he wasn't producing, our season is over, and we have some young guys to take a look at then "bye bye Jason". Everyone keeps saying RR has lost the locker room - well players should know they don't speak outside of it and criticize what's going on to the media. The percentage of truth in their statement is irrelevant.

There is no doubt in my mind that he will be better wherever he goes.  

 

I just wish we had some stability, consistency at ANY position within this organization going forward.

After the fact.  I don't get what you're going for?  King arguably looked better than him in the preseason IMO.  

 

Well unfortunately for King, looking good in the preseason, and actually contributing in the regular season are two different things.

Philly, we all know that.....DG knows that, but you can't keep guys, especially older, leader types, on in the locker room if their thoughts may mess with young players heads.

 

 

The locker room is a mess, I'm sure of it, the vets are pissed, but this is about next season, and the next after that.....as I always say about DG's moves.

 

 

Like I said earlier, all the players outside the young "core" guys are auditioning for roster spots next season.

No offense, but that is a horrible comparison. Smitty was and is a far better athlete with a more solid frame.

Yeah I know that.  When a crappy coaching staff chooses one player to the active roster over another, he'll get looks in the regular season.  That's the given and I still don't get what you're trying to say.
