NFL teams indicating today with cutting of Jason Avant and Ben Tate that if you have the wrong attitude, you can look for work elsewhere.

I wouldn't exactly say "nothing". He was a very well liked guy as well from what I understand.

 

With our franchise in it's current state, you can't only look at it from a personnel standpoint.

 

The problem with this is the message it sends to an already emotional locker room after your head coach made the decision to take the offense off the field this past Sunday with the chance to seal the win against a division rival in your own house. Where's the accountability?

 

 

How does being a nice guy mean he's producing on the field? 

 

Here's the message I see.....WRs aren't getting open and helping our QB. Let's try some younger, faster guys and see if that improves things.

Because it was a petty move, only loser organizations do, when the Panthers have so many other problems; especially in their coaching staff.

We are out of the playoffs, the locker room is divided, if not totally lost, this season is pretty much gone now.

 

 

Avant, is a solid 3 or 4 WR, and I liked the signing, when I thought that we had a shot at the playoffs and possibly winning a playoff game.  However, that's not the case any longer.

 

Every player on the roster, outside of Cam, Luke, TD, Starr, KK, and KB, are being interviewed for next season, DG is just getting the jump on the offseason.

 

 

You have a bad attitude that I fear could seep over onto KB and Philly.....you are out of my locker room, plain and simple.

 

 

I don't really like the way it went down, but it's not a bad "football move".

The hell with this coaching staff. Avant was a good guy and besides he was 100% correct. My happiest day as a fan will be the day that Rivera and company are gone. I just hope DG doesn't screw it up with another poor conservative defensive coordinator hire.

He might have been a "good guy", but he sucked ass on the football field.  He was less than a non-factor.

I figured he was cut anyways, since both philly and bersin have been getting more action.

Guess it looks better for Avant if he was fired for questioning management instead.

I hope they think it will help the team. If they're making moves just to do something, that is the definition of dumb. But with this FO, which one of these is the motivation behind the move is a mystery.

Yeah both the Browns and Panthers have such a long tradition of winning, why would any player dare question coaching decisions.

Bersin, unlike King, has actually logged at least one NFL reception so far in his career. King is still sitting on Tampa Bay's practice squad.

 

After the fact.  I don't get what you're going for?  King arguably looked better than him in the preseason IMO.
