trade Big Al?

But you can't just throw this out there without having some kind of package to get back. And honestly, Al would be a one year rental for anyone trading for him, and he'll probably command a large contract this summer. I don't think anyone would bite on a trade for him unless we swapped for another rental (like Afflalo or DeAndre, but I don't see the trade package or the need for Al with either of those teams), or basically gave him away.

Large contract for what? Scoring 15 a game? Most centers can do that. He's driving down his price significantly this year

I don't even know why I'm bothering to respond to you, but I'm going to. If you actually watch the games you'll see how much defenses collapse around him and force him into a pass. A team with good shooting and rim protection at the 4 (as I said before OKC is the perfect fit there) would make him look even better than he is.

He was also 3rd team All NBA last year. Let's take a look at scoring stats, just this year, since most centers can put up 15.

Apparently most means precisely 7.

Cousins: 22.5 PPG

Jefferson: 20.7 PPG

Bosh: 19.9 PPG (Note: I don't consider him a center, but ESPN does and he plays mostly 5 so I'll give you him)

Howard: 18.8 PPG

Vucevic 18.8 PPG

Marc Gasol: 18.0 PPG

Brook Lopez: 16.2 PPG

Next let's take a look at free agent big men in 2015 (worth a fug):

Paul Millsap

Kevin Love (player option)

Tyson Chandler

Greg Monroe

Roy Hibbert (player option)

David West (player option)

Luis Scola

DeAndre Jordan

Carlos Boozer

Jordan Hill (team option)

Marc Gasol

Omer Asik

LaMarcus Aldridge

Enes Kanter

I was kind for a few people on that list. The only people on that list better than Al imo are Marc Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Kevin Love. I doubt any of those players leave their current team. Combine that list with the fact that a player like Alec Burks getting 10.5 million per year and Al is going to command a large contract.

You know what. I'll bite on this topic. If we're giving him up we HAVE TO get back rim protection. We lack both of those. DeAndre Jordan would perhaps be available for the right price, but I doubt The Clippers are interested in Jefferson. I really don't see a trade partner out there that would give us anything for Al. I like his fit with OKC as they have Ibaka, but again, what do they have to give us?

Steven Adams

Jeremy Lamb

1st round pick.

trade wouldn't work. plus we really don't need another SG unless we can find a way to ship out Hendo

what do you think about trading al for ryan anderson straight up

^ awesome if you like getting absolutely robbed in deals.

Al is coming off an ALL NBA SEASON and is a virtual lock to get 20 points a night. He has the best post moves in the game. He is not some scrub.

We got 2 first round picks from Portland for an already breaking down Gerald Wallace. Al would be an even bigger blockbuster.

I really doubt Toronto would do this, maybe if we throw a first rounder their way, but it's a starting point IMO.

Again, Big Al is my second favorite player to ever wear a BOBCAT uniform but if he continues to play shitty defense and weak on the boards then he should be traded.

Saying he's weak on the boards just isn't true. Lance is a terrible rebounder stealer. Go look at Hibberts rebounding stats last year.

And that deal doesn't really do much for us imo. Ross is a meh 3&D guy. Hayes is a bench player. And Valancunas is a massive downgrade on offense and only a marginal upgrade on defense.

Hayes was to work out the salaries.

You are also massively underrating Valanciunas and Ross (our lack of a backup SF really has hurt us).

And while I agree Lance does steal a lot of rebounds, it has made Al feel like he doesn't have to be relied upon on the boards and he just puts up lazy attempts to get them now. I've been to three games and it's pretty obvious he doesn't try to get them.
