Looking at the remaining schedules, it looks like we'll be alive at 5-9-1 going into Week 17

I still think we win @ a terrible MN team and home against CLE and TB. I also don't think ATL and NO are so much better than us that we go 0-4 against them this year. In other words, we still win the south IMHO.

I'm kinda hoping the falcons win the division.

That will mean that they retain Mike Smith who is awful and Mike Nolan. They are a farce of a team with so many glaring holes on defense. I'd hate for them to get a competent staff in there to actually utilize the weapons they have correctly.

Tampa is the only game we have a chance in.  We may well loose out.

I cannot see us beating Tampa Bay at this point, maybe Minnesota but that is it.

I thought I would never say this but us losing out would be better for us in the future than winning anymore games.

 

This would possibly give us a better chance at getting rid of our horrible coaching staff and give us better draft position.

I can easily see the Panthers dead last in the division,especially if they lose out which is very probable!

The Carolina kittens at this point don't deserve to go to the playoffs,still I might go to 1 more game if it's good and cold or sunny and warm enough(55+) to wear shorts!

 

The Panthers "deserve" the playoffs as much as the Saints or Falcons do.  All three teams are an embarassment to the game right now.
