Does Rivera have a chance at staying another year?

Just wanted to gauge everyones opinion on this. Surely Richardson/Gettleman will realize this is unacceptable. I know we gave Rivera a huge contract but keeping him around would assure another losing season.

3 losing seasons in four years w/o any playoff wins will get any coach fired. His only hope is that Richardson is still sleeping when the decision time comes.

It would be no surprise to me if Rivera was back next year and Bell still starting.

Honestly it depends on the players and their exit interviews.

If they do not feel like he is the right coach and make that known, there's a chance Ron could be fired. That's what happened with the Bobcats and Mike Dunlap, who was only there one season.

I won't be buying any more tickets as long as RR is prowling the sideline.  I will still be a fan, of course, but not giving them any of my money is about all I can do.  I think theres zero chance of it happening during the season and maybe a 25% chance of it happening after the season so I guess I will have some cash freed up next season.

1: it all depends on how much power Gettleman really truly has.

 

2:  considering his track record this offseason, I'm worried about Gettleman too.

 

To me, the only way Rivera stays is if Gettleman gets to choose the offensive staff, but then he's almost a lame-duck coach.

 

And it's not like Gettleman hit for the fences with this year's ol....

If you don't want Rivera back, don't go to games. Empty seats is your direct line to JR. Unfortunately you've already paid for them. 

 

I think Rivera comes back and we see a new coordinator. The last time that happened, Jeff Davidson got hired.

I DO think that Shula is gone, regardless of what happens with Ron, although I'm afraid we are stuck with him  til the end of the season.
