Ron Rivera Must Go

Lets be real, does anyone in their sane mind actually think Ryan wouldnt have marched down the field in field goal range even if we made that FG. Come on, 1:30 left to go against this D, might as well be a full qtr and all three time outs left.

Im kind of glad he missed the FG, it would have hurt worse when Ryan would have marched it down the field. I was 110% sure even if we made the FG, they would have still ended up winning anyway.

 

 

Which is why the play calling was so stupid, we got into long FG range to hopefully hit(and didn't) and still give Ryan 1:30 min to get their own FG and win.

 

 

Should've kept with normal offense and got at least another first down and eat more clock to boot.

 

Rivera/Shula lost another one for us.

Its not the fact of leaving it to the defense its the fact in settling for a long fg with plenty of time and the offense clicking why not try to make it a chip shot all the while leaving less time for the falcons. Even if we make it all they need is a fg to win no common sense what so ever coaching cost us this one this week.

Gettleman blew this fa period without question, but CJ, the running backs, Kalil, Davis, and the dead money restricted so much of what we could have done that there weren't that many choices he could've made that would have turned out differently.  The biggest swing and miss without question was tagging Hardy...

 

but regardless, Rivera should know better than the choices he made today in terms of trying to play for a fg when that's bit him in the past and Shula, observationally, has no understanding of situational football.  if he does, he's never shown it, and if he can't learn it by now, there's not much hope he ever will.
