We can't keep Ron Rivera or Mike Shula heading into bye week after that

Some of you need to get to know your owner a little better, Ron isn't going anywhere until after the season, if he does. I could see the OC being ousted out during the season but even that is highly unlikely. We are all just going to wait till after the season to see what happens.

Ron is definitely not getting fired mid season.  I do think he gets fired which is the most important thing.  At this point...it doesn't matter whether it now or at the end of the year.   It's not going to change a whole lot between now and then.

Fire him, and get a damn offensive guy in here for HC.  Hasn't worked out for us the first 20 years...it's time to go a different route.  Damn, the Panthers make my head hurt. What coach in their right mind is going to settle for a 46-50 yd fg with 1:30+ left on the clock.  You get the first down, and then you can play for your fg if you want. Atleast get the yardage to about 35-40.

Gosh dang, Rivera is such a dummy.  Most of his career losses have probably come because of his boneheaded mistakes.

This is so true!!

Gosh it's so true!!

Shula has to go.  He just does.  Yeah Cam didn't play great for 3 quarters and his WRs didn't help anyone out.

But I mean, you have to do something different.  Draw up a gadget play.  Do anything!!

You got to do something to manufacture some life into the offense when guys are struggling.

It just isn't working, and I don't think Rivera knows it.

Shula going isn't enough.

The whole house needs cleaning.

Another low IQ.

People saying Rivera SHOULD GO does not equate to them saying he will be gone.

And I think that was an excellent decision given the circumstances. Gano regularly makes 45-50 yards. We trust him to make them. If he fails, it's on him. However, the plan Rivera had gave a contingency for that (namely, being able to try a short last-second drive provided the defense holds).

If you've watched every Panthers game coached by Rivera since '11, there's no way you would think like this.

I tell you what. Go watch the '11 home game against the Saints. Then watch the '12 Bears game, and after that the '12 Falcons game in Atl, and get back with me.

Meh.  We aren't going to do that right now, and I am not sure that is the best course.  I still want the season to play out before I form an opinion on Rivera as a head coach.  Right now I am leaning toward firing his ass.

But OC is something we can do right now.  We have two weeks to install if need be and familiarize ourselves with a new playcaller.

Plus, it sends a message of accountability to the rest of the coaching staff.  Puts them on notice that we aren't just going to cut players if this thing doesn't get turned around fast, but coaches jobs are on the line too
