Jay Fiedler played pretty well post Mario in the early 2000's for the Dolphins. David Garrard went to a Pro Bowl under Shula's tutelage.

Don't miss the point of the thread. I am by no means endorsing Shula as OC. He was a good QB coach and should have stayed just that. I'm tired of seeing the guy bashed no stop though. It isn't his fault he was offered the job. I would have taken it too if it was offered to me, qualified or not.

Shula's not a bad qb coach.  He's just not an OC.  Much like Rivera isn't a bad DC....he's just not a good HC.

He doesn't care if he gets bashed on an internet discussion forum. He is a millionaire many times over in a high proflie NFL position. He will have a career in football for many years to come. I'd love to be him.
