Panthers related? Maybe. My question is, what would you give up for him and how disappointed would they have to be to take something for him? He's a return wizard, a big and fast WR that simply hasn't grasped their O after being in 4 systems in 4 years. While he may not be a rocket scientist, he's only 23 and a Rock Hill native. He and KB would be otherworldly. Too good to be true in all likelihood but a man can dream.

If we could get him in a firesale for a mid-round pick (conditional 4th?), I'm all for it.

 

Contingent on Shula being fired because he sure as fug won't know how to use him.

 

Patterson as a deep threat with KB prowling the middle and Olsen in the seam would be pretty awesome.

FWIW he and Bridgewater have had friction which became public after Patterson himself tried to keep Bridgewater's first TD pass ball. All FWIW.

They would give him up for the right price perhaps (probably a first round pick, or two).  Maybe they'll see him as the Trent Richardson of wide receivers. It's a long shot, I know.

He was considered raw coming out, he's had QB changes to deal with and poor QB play on top of that. I personally love the explosiveness in his game.

Like you mentioned he's obviously still on his rookie deal, he's dropped to #4 on their depth chart but still only 23. No way the Vikings don't hang onto him for atleast another year.

It's just hard for me to imagine an All-Pro player getting pushed to the side after a disappointing sophomore season.

Yeah, you got that in before my edit.  I want a receiver that can get separation and knows how to run some routes.  It would appear that Patterson isn't that guy, and I am in no mood for a project that costs an arm and a leg.
