Nate Chandler, DeAngelo Williams to Start

You have to go back a few years to find any good running games for either against Atlanta. I guess you could argue that Williams excels when he can get into space and he might be able to do that against ATL.

Otherwise I have no clue what the coaches are doing.

But frankly him starting doesn't even mean he gets the majority of carries.

I was thinking the same thing about starting being irrelevant. It really doesn't matter given we use a multi back system.

It really doesn't matter who starts, because even if they do well they're yanked immediately after any positive run.

Stewart has a 10 yard run, gets pulled. Deangelo comes in for 1 yard gain, gets pulled. Stewart comes back in for 1 yard loss.

And vice versa for every RB on the team including Fozzy who had an awesome KR followed by a 10+ yard run, then got pulled.

The "by committee" idea doesn't work anymore for this team. We need to pick a ball carrier and let him develop a rhythm.

I have yet to see Deangelo break a single tackle this season. First contact and he is down, sometimes that first contact is Kalil or Amini.

Stewart breaks tackles nearly every carry.

So what's your take on why DeAngelo still gets the start?

(outside of the obvious "coaches don't know what they're doing" aspect)

Maybe because he's dumb? Maybe because he won't admit to being horribly wrong? He refuses to accept the fact that JStew is the far superior back, and should be his go-to in most situations. He also continues to start Chandler, when he's on his back with his legs sprawled out, more often than a cheap hooker.

Well let's hope it ends in him being fired.
