The one thing I will say about those older videos. They showed for live action. Now its all shaky camera work and suggested violence. Widen the lens and let us see some athleticism.

jeet kun do is not kung fu and IMO bruce lee shouldn't be in the conversation. most of his stuff was sparring scenes anyway, which employs metaphysical principles found in kung fu, but lacks many of the principles of movement and basic combat elements.

 

some of jet li's older stuff probably leads the way, along with vintage jackie chan, if you're concerned with form and authenticity over cinematography.
