Talks about how no one really respects our starting perimeter guards and why we can't adjust. I felt this way after the first few games. Main reason i feel our future depends on getting Stephen Curry to come home and replace Kemba. Either that or were going to have to get lucky and find a draft gem

Kind of reminds me of the Raptors last season. They got better after they traded Rudy Gay.

What's discouraging is that this team should be much better offensively than last season, and you caught a glimpse of what could happen if everything went well in the first half of the Portland game.

Cho knew what that article pointed out would be an issue and brought in Marvin Williams to space the floor but he's even less of a scoring threat than MKG.

IMO the bench is more of an issue than the starters as is the lack of creativity. Brian Roberts, for all his efficiency scoring, doesn't take care of the ball and is a worse version of Kemba. I don't have to explain Maxiell's issues. Not absolving the starters here but an upgrade at backup PG and C would do wonders.

Also, we have a big decision to make regarding Al. The scoring strength of these starters lies in their ability to drive the ball, not spot up shooting. The problem is Al needs the paint in order to score. Otherwise with he's defense he becomes a major negative out on the court.

It's early and this schedule isn't conducive to trying to ease your way into establishing chemistry but I think we will see a much better result once they come back East off this gauntlet of a schedule they have right now.

I think time will heal all. We have new players that need to develop chemistry together, we need to figure out the right starting line up and rotations. I wouldn't mind a trade but what would we give up? We don't have a lot of depth at forward/ center and I don't think anyone wants Henderson. That leaves draft picks.

Like cbarrier90 said we need a backup PG and C badly. I didn't like the Roberts signing when it first happened and now that I am seeing him play I dislike it even more. He does a terrible job protecting the ball and isn't knocking down the deep balls like people saw him do in NO. I really wish we would have tried to sign a vet like Jameer Nelson.

Center isn't as big of an issue I blame that more on Clifford. Biz seemed to be developing some what and he already was a solid rim protector which our second unit is painfully missing. Maxiell doesn't even average 2 rpg or a blocked shot as a backup C getting 12 to 16 min per game. Every time Maxiell enters the game we get torn apart in the paint and rely on Cody to rebound and play the rim protector. I just don't understand Clifford's logic.

Roberts def isnt starter material but is a def upgrade over Ridnour.

I wanted jameer but he's been hot garbage this year.

As far as Roberts, his ball security isn't greatbut his assist to turnover numbers are the same as the starter.

Regardless, Roberts isn't a good passer on a team of players that aren't good passers.

    • Same... With the personnel the Niners had, that defense could have been historically good in the right hands. Under Wilks they were certainly good, they didn't quite rise to that level. Honestly, I see Wilks kinda like I see Rivera: fantastic person, decent head coach. Skill wise, phenomenal DB coach, so-so DC. His greatest strength is his leadership. Hard to find many better in that department. In the Xs and Os / execution area though, not as good. Bottom Line: Wilks is the sort of coach that needs a staff that excels in those aspects of the game where he's weaker. But, like Rivera, I don't know that he scouts assistants very well. That as much as anything might be why he's not in the NFL now.
    • Clearly the best outcome for us is a Giants W. A spot or two difference in the 4th round is inconsequential. Just look at the trade value charts. A spot or two at the top of the 1st means a LOT. A spot or two in the mid-rounds? Virtually nothing.
    • Agree. I don't think I have ever heard him say anything positive, at any time, about the Panthers. Best expectation is no mention at all.
