A little on Chris Scott

Man the line is in such terrible shape right now...completely ignored it in the offseason and now they are starting a guard they cut in training camp at RT. This won't end well.

Even if it does, it doesn't.

If he plays well, then you have to ask why he was cut in favor of guys like Chandler.

Funny thing...

If Scott actually comes in and looks good, then you kinda have to question his being cut in the first place and other guys who haven't looked good being kept over him.

It'd be a good thing for us, but yet another knock on Rivera's ability to set a proper depth chart, especially given that if Chandler weren't hurt he likely wouldn't be here at all.

what about the line coach? Rivera, as a HC, is going to listen to his subordinates.

A Little on Nate Chandler:

After training with Panthers OT Nate Chandler the past two summers, Hall of Fame LT Jackie Slater claimed "there's no doubt in my mind he's a top left tackle."

A converted defensive tackle, he's now battling Byron Bell to start on Cam Newton's blind side. "He's mentally equipped to solve problems, and that's what you have to do to play offensive tackle in this league," said Slater, a seven-time Pro Bowler who's now the OL coach at Azusa Pacific University. "He's going to be a good offensive lineman in the National Football League for a very long time."

Let's make sure that Slater's name is never brought up in discussions about who to hire as o-line coach.

We tried to sign a starting lt who chose to sign elsewhere...drafted a OL in the 3rd round.

Did not work out as planned..but it is not "completely ignoring" the OL

That's been anything but confirmed. In fact, just recently Bill Voth again reiterated that we never made him any offers.

#Panthers NEVER offered Collins. misinformation out there. RT @Jiveturkey_tom: @BlackBlueReview I wish collins had chosen us over tb still

I'm sorry but there is no potential in either Bell or Chandler, if you can't see that you just don't see football. They are good football players (anybody who can get into the NFL is good) but they are without question backups at BEST in the NFL. Or do we need another 9 sack game to see this "potential"
