Advanced Warfare?

I like it. Good story. Great graphics (PS4). Plays pretty damn smooth. I like the movement. A lot of people hate the gliding and whatnot in multiplayer, I don't mind it.

It plays like a CoD game, but at the same time, it's nothing like the CoD games before Black Ops. They've fully gone to the futuristic style of combat. Gone are the days of just having a soldier as we know them in the real world. Now you're a sci-fi soldier. A fun game, but I do miss the basic run-n-shoot idea that was CoD. Before the mech suits, hover crafts, and the other bells and whistles.

IMO, the best way to enjoy this game is to not try to compare it to anything. Just play the damn game. If you like it, keep it. If not, trade it in towards something else. A lot of people end up hating it because they say they've ripped off Halo/Destiny, or that they've simply tried incorporating concepts from those games into this one. Screw all that over-analyzing crap. Just play the game and determine whether or not you enjoy it. It's what I'm doing, and I'm having a good time with it.

  • 4 weeks later...

rear is a military term referring to being in the US rather than a combat zone.

(think humvees early on in iraq... vinyl doors, no armor at all)

Off topic, but up armored humvees sucked too. The whole line of thinking behind using that vehicle in ied rich environments was dumb. The MRAP is a beast tho.

Well at first IEDs weren't stupid huge and powerful like they were towards the end. The M1114 (I think that was the first uparmored HMMWV) might get its tires blown apart and a door might come off the hinges. Then the EFPs started, then came those huge explosions that would send a Stryker a quarter mile in the air and blow shrapnel for a half mile radius. MRAPs are safer against the initial blast, but secondary effects (like getting bounced around inside the vehicle) and tertiary effects (the vehicle rolling over) were very deadly. As a medic, I never needed a back board or a C-collar until the MRAP came along.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
