Gas range?

I currently have a electric range but I have gas line pulled to it.  My wifey and I considering buying gas range.  I currently do not have ventilation above my range.  Do I need to put a suction vent above gas range for CO2 to go away or is it safe without it?

You could just put a CO2 detector in the kitchen.

You do not need any ventilation for a gas range- the gas is being burned off.

 

A range hood is there to simply exhaust whatever you Bolsheviks burn on the range so as not to stink up the entire house.,

Yea u can smell that kind of gas, you'll know instantly if there is a leak. And definitely worth it.

Highly recommend a gas range Arsen. Once you get used to it you'll love it. And yes you can use the range when the power is out (but not the oven)

Never used it.  It's almost brand new stove, we used it less than 20 times.  I might donate it to goodwill.
