This is the type of season where you find out real fans of a team. sadly Panther fans find this out every 2 or 3 years.

 

The trick to being a Panthers fan is to never get your hopes up.  Figured that out quite a few years ago.

2011 was waaayyyy worse with no bright future in sight. At least this team has alot of young talent from the draft and UDFA.

The lacking of money to spend in free agency is killing us on the O-Line and secondary. Thanks Hurney.

Real fans know that our owner cares more about the league and the bottom dollar than the team, that is a fact. The love of our city/state/region and the game itself keeps us in, but it is an insanely bitter pill to swallow.

The man voluntarily opined 10% of his salary cap after week 1 this year before the league did anything, despite no new evidence and 10% of the cap playing in week 1.

This after the 2010 season and subsequent lockout and longtime nfl logo at midfield, among other things.

How do these facts make the above statement opinion? At best, it's beyond a reasonable doubt.

For those interested in history, I recommend the film "Tora Tora!". It's old but very well done.

Many of us on the Huddle no longer have any ties to the region. I just happened to be living there when they came into existence and they became my adopted team. So their performance as an organization is a big factor in whether or not I choose to remain a fan. They don't get a blank check. If that makes me a lesser fan, so be it. My continued support is dependant on them continuing to earn it.

New York has two teams. No other franchise that doesn't share a field does.
