New strategy by Panthers front office and coaching staff: Let's all take dumps in Cam's mouth

This forum is so quick to trash every player on our roster but Cam is protected like a sacred cow. There is not a person in that locker room that isn't culpable for what is going on. Ross Tucker could get insider information about why everyone in that locker room sucks but the only person is he going to get website hits from, the only person he is going to make money from, is Cam.

I know I trashed Cam last Monday night after the game, now that I'm sober, (heehee) he is and will be the best option we have to make a playoff run. The whole offense has been horrendous, DWills fumble right off I knew this offense was in shambles. Cam had one interception where the WR ran the wrong route. The other interceptions were a desperation attempt to come back after we were already down. Give this man a decent offensive line, and he will throw incredible numbers, he was rushed and sacked way too quickly. Cam is a winner, refer to his Auburn days, we need his College OL I guess.

The person that said that in the front office needs to be fired. Every single person outside of NC and SC looked at the Panthers organization and said WTF are they doing this past offseason ? We picked players off the dumpster pile and put some duct tape on them and expected those individuals to turn into solid players? When has that philosophy ever worked long term.

They knew we were setting ourselves up for a setback season. Now that it is here and our team is floundering we have little unnamed punks blaming it on one of the two best things to happen to our franchise in the past 5years.

Ridiculous.

Was I the only one that listened to 610 this afternoon and heard what Jeff Reed said? Brett Keisel told him the Steelers preferred to face Cam rather than Anderson. I remember this being mentioned a little bit after the Steelers game and everyone just brushed it off as made up.

The Eagles brought extra pressure 33 times Monday night.

There were only 3 possible audibles called the entire game.

One was a hand check to change pass routes very early on.

One was a run audible at the 6:29 mark. The other was another run audible at the 11:02 mark in the 3rd.

That's it.

I can't say whose fault this is. Maybe Shula is such a fuggin' retard he doesn't know how to incorporate audibles into his game plan.

Maybe they decided to simplify things because of the flux in the offensive line. That ratio of blitzes to audibles is absurd, though.

The offensive line is not very good, but circumstances are making them look worse than they really are.

It's a learned thing here to be defensive about Cam because of the idiotic and skeevy criticism of him from the day we drafted him by a loud contingent. We're so used to defending him from absurd criticism from people like Grits and the guy who pied your post, that when he does have a bad game like on Monday, it's hard to let down the wall of defense and actually talk about his faults.

You have this garbage today from anonymous FO people about Cam's mental issues and sulking: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nbc-yahoo-sports/panthers-officials-insist-cam-newton-s-mnf-problems-totally-mental-212858309-nfl.html

You have this anonymous Panthers guy talking poo about Cam to Bill Rosinski: https://twitter.com/RosinskiBill/status/528173120122023936

Shula saying Cam isn't elite. Didn't have to say it, just decided to throw it in needlessly:

http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/11/mike_shula_says_cam_newton_isn.html

You have Rivera talking about Cam saying "If he's going to be our quarterback" after the Philly game.

Don't forget this all started with Gettleman having his insanely long pause when asked if Cam was a franchise quarterback.

What do you make of this campaign by people that work at Mint & Morehead against Cam? What's the purpose here?

And can we all agree it really sucks? People like to talk about how immature Cam supposedly is, has he ever said one bad thing about any of his terrible offensive linemen or receivers or coordinator or coach? Nope, Cam Newton has been a premium-grade A+ professional and teammate. Keep that in mind next time you're ready to jump all over Cam for supposedly being "immature".

Fire them all. Now. Idiots trying to save their asses by blaming cam.

Nah, it's just the nature of the QB-driven league. If you visit most NFL blogs, you'll realize that most people who criticize the QBs are labelled as trolls etc. It's nothing unique to this fan base.

For the record it hasn't been 1 game. He has been poor in the past 4 games.

I believe it comes down to philosophy. Every coaching staff has two things: a philosophy and a system. The system is what the team operates out of. Formations, types of plays, etc. The philosophy is HOW the team operates. Rivera made it clear early on what his philosophy is, what he's about: execution. Executing individual jobs and executing plays as a whole. While it's not a bad philosophy, he is taking it too far. He thinks poor results = poor execution. EVERY time. He will NEVER call Shula out because, in his mind, we're just not executing. It's nothing about the system or the OC. It's that we're simply not running the plays CORRECTLY.

And he will believe that until he and/or Shula are fired.
