New strategy by Panthers front office and coaching staff: Let's all take dumps in Cam's mouth

If these clowns think that Cam should be their scape goat they need to be dealt with.

Gettleman at least covered his comment. For an OC to say that about their qb, with now qualifiers....

He's trashing Cam, who saved his ass all season long last season. If not for Cam, our offense would be the worst in NFL history.

I really do think this coaching staff is looking for a scape goat and have there targets set on Cam. As people have said Rivera defends his effort guys to the end and that means throwing players like Cam under the bus. Its why he needs to be fired proto, or we will have a team full of effort but no talent.

This is why I hate losing. When you lose this happens, when you win it's complete silence and smiles. If you win united, you supposed to lose united. Not win united and lose divided. The problem is this staff and fans been brainwashed into thinking this year was going to be good. I didn't think it was going to get this bad like one of the worst and I believe Hardy being hung out dry is a major cause for what has happened, but I knew for sure we wouldn't make the playoffs after the abysmal offseason of what you call trying to build a great team

What SMF said was 100% true. Cam never has throw anybody under the bus. He has always put blame on himself. NOBODY else has done that, nobody else took a look in the mirror

Well, now I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but is Cam elite?  I mean, is he really in the same category as a Peyton or Tom?  Objectively looking at it, I don't think he is - YET.  I think he has the athletic ability to become elite, and I think if this organization let's him walk, they will be haunted by the decision for years to come; I just don't think he's there yet.  Understand, I'm not trying to take anything away from Cam or what he's done thus far in his career, I just think there's some things mechanically he can fix.  We get him a better line a speedster to throw to and we'll see what this guy can do.  I want Shula fired as much as the next guy, but I'm not sure he was digging on Cam.

Also, I said in another thread the Rivera quote is being taken out of context.  What he was saying is the reason he left Cam in the game Monday night was because he saw it as an opportunity to make Cam better; that he is looking for the long-term fix, and if Cam is going to be our QB, he thought it would benefit the team and Cam to leave him in and face some adversity.  RR wasn't using "if" to imply doubt that Cam is going to be our QB going forward.

Yeah, I was listening to garcia yesterday and he started to piss me off.

Thing is: Panther fans already knows Newton's an NFL QB at the very least.

On the other hand: Most of us are not convinced that either Rivera or Shula are NFL Level at their current positions.

So in a war of words, most of us will side with the QB

However/For Some Reason: Garcia's wants to pick on Newton not being a leader, when the last I knew Cam was a player.

What leadership has the "COACH" shown this team? You know, the guys that's supposed to lead and motivate the players??

Garcia's a joke, or just looking for crank Cam phone calls.

One of my problems is that so many people want to even ask the question about whether or not Cam is elite after only 3.5 years? After 4 years even most elite QB's were only good. Tom Bradys stats weren't mind blowing his first three years. In fact Cam's and his are quite similar. Sure you have exceptions like Luck or Rodgers who become upper echelon out of the gate but that's incredibly rare. After 4 years most teams are happy if they can say they have a good QB which I think Cam is. After last year the FO should have been happy to see they had a consistant performer in Cam and begun the process of giving him what he needed to push him further. KB is a great addition but that isn't fair to both Came or Benjamin to ask them to make up for 2 other over the hill WRs who can't seperate and an oline who, beyond Kalil, has starters who would be on the practice squad of a Canadian football team.

Bad game plan.

Bad off season moves.

Bad draft.

Bad OL play.

Defense cannot stop teams from scoring.

Using top receiver for blocking.

Punting the ball to sproles.

Allowing other teams to get early leads and playing from behind while running more than passing to start a game.

Sounds like it is all Cam.

Replace the front office.

Idiot coaches. They have no clue or they would have corrected it.

Whatever bad decisions Cam is making, they're not nearly as bad as the decisions to keep Rivera when Hurney was fired, to extend him after one good season, to promote Shula to OC, to ignore OL in the offseason, to cut Smitty, to stubbornly start the worst pair of starting OTs possibly in the history of the game, to kowtow to Goodell and media pressure by deactivating the second best player on our defense, and the list goes on.  So whatever bad decision making Cam is showing on the field is dwarfed in comparison to the bad decisions by management.

You know, considering how much this team appears to covet "good PR", you can understand them signing Rivera, instead of giving him a 1 yr, and/or conditional contract with performance bonuses. So in a way I can see that.

However, if or when he's not performing again (as this year), fire his ass and eat the contract! It's either that, or you should have never given him that three yr extension to begin with if you weren't willing to eat it.

Rivera has never shown on any consistent (mind you spectacular basis), that he's even been an NFL level Head coach.

Every Bad or mediocre coach has a good year (especially when they have some talent, play makers), if you keep them long enough in their positions. He wouldn't be the first. Won't be the last.

Come on,  no one can tell me, why JR just can't shift some cost around to make up for that $3mil a yr he's paying Rivera?

Shula knows he is about to get canned.......... probably as soon as the season is over.        His only chance of ever getting another OC job is by placing all the blame on Cam and the Panthers' talent level on offense..  so that he can still somewhat argue that his style of offense works in the NFL.

I fully believe that Cam is gone.   Soon.     I love the guy,  and believe 100% that he is our franchise qb...and that we have failed to build around him..  but I believe G-man wants him gone and the only reason he didn't try and trade him last offseason is because his stock was too high and while he would have gotten a lot of picks, he would have had to deal with the aftermath of the fans....      Majority of the fans would have ran G-man and the Panthers front office out of Charlotte...             now,  if they do it this offseason,  the backlash wouldn't be as bad.     Especially since the front office and Panthers organization in general keep dropping hints that basically the only reason we suck right now,  is because of Cam.
