Rivera: Newton is not injured

"No, he's not injured,'' Rivera said Tuesday to open his news conference without being asked about his star player. "I'm not quite sure where all that came from, but to put it to rest, and he said it in his press conference after the game, he's fine.''
"Talking to the trainers, talking to the doctors...there was nothing,'' Rivera said. "In talking to him there was nothing.''

Newton did take a hit in the first half and was shown on camera behind the bench stretching.

"He was fine,'' Rivera said. "That was it.''

Offensive coordinator Mike Shula said physically Newton looked "like he has the last couple of years at this time.''

He also wasn't aware of the basis for reports that Newton was injured.

"He's OK,'' Shula said.

Wat.

Must be a play on words.

Rivera himself said Newton won't be 100% this season.

Craziest part is Shula saying he looks like he always does. Ugh, no....go watch the NE Patriot game last year and tell me Cam is healthy enough to do THAT
