1st take destroys the Panthers FO, "Panthers Sold Cam Newton Out"

Recommended Posts

didn't watch the video, but they're right. DG has set Cam up to fail. The OT and WR situations are a joke....4 years into Cam's NFL career. 4 years of Byron Freaking Bell starting. GMAFB

basically shits on the o-line, receiving core, FO, and ron himself (asking why in the world they extended ron after 1 good year)

even though i hate 1st take im glad that the truth is coming out

How is Cam supposed to make Byron Bell, Nate Chandler, and the undrafted Canadian better? none of the QBs that you mentioned have played behind anything close to as crappy of an OL as Cam's playing behind this year. And other than Brady, none of them have been throwing to the scrubs that DG likes to call his top 4-5 WRs. Let's not even get into the suck that is the Panthers D this year.

Let's just admit cam isnt a franchise QB. He's good but not capable of making those around him better like a Brees, manning, Brady, Rodgers. The whole team sucks, the coaches suck, the owner sucks, the fanbase sucks. I just don't see this getting fixed and cam still being here. Imo he's gone and this year is why

Beloved franchise qb already in place but the new GM doesn't like him?

Can't cut him outright unless the GM wants the fans to revolt.

Best way is to eliminate all of the qbs previous WRs.......and butcher up the Oline..so the qb has little chance to be productive..

Then sit back and watch the hillbilly fans jerk off about Cam being the problem and has to go.....  so when the GM finally does cut the qb........the majority of the fans will cheer.....            the next qb we get,  will be surrounded with a decent quality Oline and some speed WRs to compliment Benji...so right off the bat,  the new qb will be more productive..............and G-man will be considered a genius.

How is Cam not a franchise QB? I am not bashing you are anything. I just want to hear your reasoning behind that comment. I honestly believe he is and I have my own reasons. Is he perfect? No QB is. Basically Cam has no offensive line. I refuse to call those bunch of guys out there a nfl offensive line. Any QB behind this line will fine. Don't you remember the Superbowl and how the Broncos Oline couldn't hold up? How did Manning look during that game? It is easy to use the QB as a scapegoat but look at the whole situation not just one aspect. We have an OC who historically has not been able to put up TDs in the redzone. He cares so much about T.O.P. which means nothing if you are not scoring TDs. We have a coach with no backbone. I am still ticked about the Bengals game because that is a game that we should have lost if it wasn't for their kick shanking an easy FG. Look at our WR. We run off our greatest WR and replace him with even slower receivers that can't get any seperation. I think KB was a good pick up but he has to work on those drops as well as his route running. Give Cam an offensive minded coach and a supporting cast then he will flourish. Hell, look what Chip was able to do with Sanchez

why assume that the Broncos want Newton and even if they did he won't be available anyway. He isn't exactly a great fit for their system and lacks the accuracy to run that system. People think everyone wants Cam and that isn't true. Right now he would have a hard time convincing anyone that he is worth trading for,.

One good season versus three embarrassingly abysmal seasons. This isn't "suddenly he isn't good."

The problem with all the Rivera bashing is that most of it has no context. We went from a 2010 team that won 2 games to 6 in 2011 to 7 in 2012 which were far from abysmal seasons. Then we win 12 and the division. That is a 3 year uptick in wins and consistent improvement. If Gettleman doesn't gut the team we wouldn't be losing now.

So your are right it isn't that he suddenly isn't good. He is good and helped us improve each year and would be doing it again if he were being given the talent he had last year.
