Do the Panthers have the money for best case scenarios?

Other teams are paying their quarterbacks well, and are still able to surround them with adequate talent and coaching.

I think with some of the success lately of younger QB's, there are a lot of people under the false impression that we can afford to simply move on from Newton, and be just fine starting whichever generic QB we can find and winning seasons will roll out. That's not going to happen.

When you look around the league at the bottom of the barrel teams that have been stuck in mediocrity for years. What's the common theme?

Just ask the Browns, Raiders, Jaguars, Bills, Vikings, Texans, Titans, Rams, and the list goes on.

Unless fans are intent on witnessing another Cleveland version of going through quarterback after quarterback for the next 15-20 years, we need to build around the talented QB that we have right now for the future. You do not allow him or Luke to leave, it will be catastrophic.

Right now there really isn't much hope left that Ron is the head coach to lead this franchise forward. I hate to say that, but it's true.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
