A Bunch of Soulless, Emotionless Zombies

This is what I saw last night. Not the Carolina Panthers, but just a bunch of guys just walking around and going through the motions like a bunch of soulless zombies. I never saw a spark or any kind of excitement in the players even before the game. During the Anthem, I saw Cam close his eyes and take a deep breath as if he was thinking "Oh no, it's about to begin". There was no energy at all when the offense took the field for the first time...

Then we saw the very predictable play calling with DWill up the middle for no gain twice. Then the very predictable turnover. The whole night was predictable. The whole act was going exactly according to script. We all have seen this play out before. I told my coworkers even before the game began and even with Mark Sanchez at QB, "Watch our team get blown out again tonight". Low and behold that's exactly what happened. We are so predictable.

It looked to me from Cam's body language, that he knows the play calling is terrible. He knows he has a terrible o-line. He also knows there's nothing he can do about it. This front office and coaching staff has taken away his desire. He's hit just about every play and when he's not, he is paranoid about getting hit and throws bad balls and makes bad decisions. Then there is Shula. No matter if players are having a bad game or good game, he's always there. So it's kind of like why even bother? I think Cam and the rest of the team feel the same way.

This team has officially hit rock bottom. There is no better time for a firing than right now. I mean, what's the point of keeping any of them at this point? Consistency? lol. McDermott isn't the answer. Shula certainly isn't the answer. Rivera? It wouldn't bother me if he ends up fired either. I believe Shula however is the one that should've been fired weeks ago. I think not firing him has sent a message to the team that if the coaches fail you, then too bad. Deal with it because nothing is going to change. Contributing to the defeatist attitude we're all seeing from the players.

The season is gone. Cam is hurt and we are David Carring him at the moment. He just needs to go ahead and be IR'd at this point to stop anymore further damage to him physically and mentally. Jerry Richardson also needs to put his foot down. Through out 20 years, he has shown the inability to put a consistent winner on the field. However this time he does not have the luxury of sitting around and hoping for things to change. His time on this earth is limited and if he wants to even sniff a Super Bowl again, he needs to make changes now. Even if he doesn't fire Rivera, at least fire Shula. Hell i'd be fine with firing both coordinators. McDermott isn't good either.

Right now it's time for Richardson to show if he's more concerened about winning or more concerned with saving money. Things need to change. This team needs a spark because it has lost all the light and sparkle it had last season. Our coaches have reverted to the same ones we knew before their jobs were on the line. This organization also needs to send a message to it's fans that they are tired of losing and show an effort towards being something better.

'Right now it's time for Richardson to show if he's more concerned about winning or more concerned with saving money.'

I thought this question was answered a couple years ago with the appearance of a certain pie chart.

lol. Well that was before the lockout. Right now there is no lockout. What is he saving money for? If he wants a better team before he passes, he has to make changes now.

That roster was blown up in the lockout year just like this one was. And he has 4 other parties in the ownership group he needs to answer to as well.

People need to understand JR (as much as I am not a fan of his) that he is the majority owner and the other 4 parties in the ownership group are very much in step with him.

How does one explain proclaiming Cam Newton as the franchise QB and then empty the roster of every WR and DB on the team?

The problem last season was DG thought lightening would strike twice and it didn't. He got too arrogant and thought signing 1 year vets while trimming the roster to save money would work out like it did last season. It didn't. The coaches ended up being complacent once Rivera got extended, which was stupid btw. Things went downhill. The only thing we can hope is that DG can learn from his mistakes. It's up to JR to make sure DG does his job the right way this time.

If you going to fire one of them they all need to go because none or them haven't showed me anything this season. If it wasn't for the Chicago collapse and the win vs Detriot we will be tied with Tampa. They all need to go.

I really want this to happen. It needs to happen. It shouldn't even be a question that it should happen. But it is.
