Finishing 3-12-1 is a very real possibility the way we've been playing.

Unfortunately, I don't think that Ron will get canned at all this year or next.

He just won Coach of the year last year, and the FO knew that they didn't field a respectable squad out there. They were hoping to harness lightning in a bottle 2 yrs in a row. Having said that, I don't think he has any ground to stand on, and I think that Gettleman has made him his bitch!

Ron needs to grow a pair and coach how he sees fit, and not how Gettleman wants him to, or how he thinks Gettleman wants him to.

If this Is how Ron coaches, well then, he doesn't have to go home, but he can't stay here and coach

Maybe not....5 or less and he is definately gone.

6 and he legitimatly then bring up a hurt Cam, no Hardy and no OL

Teeray pointed out that every non-first year Panthers coach who's finished with six wins or less has been let go.

If I'm being honest, I don't think we'll get six wins.  More likely five, and maybe even just four.

That award was bestowed by the AP, not voted on by the NFL. It was 100% because the Panthers beat expectations (also set by the AP and media) and because of the successful Riverboating gimmick that suddenly no longer works when you have no offensive line or Mike Tolbert. No one ever thought Ron Rivera was a good coach, did they?

Trust me I get the frustration and am not saying you or your opinion is incorrect.  Just trying to look at it from a different angle as Ron seems to have gone from hero to zero and it does not make sense.  Just think there is (a lot of) something else going on with the FO.  And you are right.  Xs and Os only work when you have the Jimmys and the Joes.

Not defending Ron and not saying I would be surprised or disappointed if he was let go.  Just saying I dont think it would be a silver bullet, our in this case a silver bowling ball that will fix the current problems with our personnel.  Its hard to draw up a game plan that takes into account that at least 2 of your OL are getting abused deliverance style 80% of the time.
