If you change OCs do you change style or philosophy

I really liked the playbook of 2011.

Have a multiple system. I don't know why people have to latch on to just one style.

I would love to see some Pistol, Spread shotty, full house, power I. Mix it up. Mix up tempo at times to suit the game. Cam can do a little bit of everything. We just have to put our offense together

if the panther do switch to more of WCO, their are numerous personnel changes that will have to occur. from the OL, to the WRs, if it is more zone running, the RBs would also have to be changed. the packers for example run a WCO, but have a lot of vertical principals in it, and i would like to see a coach come in with that type of philosophy. i am assuming someone from the Packers, Dolphins, organization be would ideal.

hah, I recall a short while back you, me and some others having a discussion on this matter :)

Yep.

Since you have a pretty good handle on coaches  and philosophy if we went to a WCO who is available that would want to switch to us given the fact we are not one to spend money, are in cap hell and typically spend more money on defense than offense?

Two of my top coaching choices, Darrell Bevell and Tom Clements, are both West Coast guys.

Bevell isn't going anywhere since he just got a new contract with Seattle and it would be a lateral move.  Clements is the OC for Green Bay.  Tell me why you would move from GB and Rodgers to come here and rebuilt in Carolina.

That is the problem really.  Most of the best guys are locked up or in better organizations already.  What we can get is a college unproven guy or a tight end coach or other guy who was an OC in the past.

I'm talking about them as head coach candidates, not OCs.

Which would mean Rivera choosing the OC.

Not a good option :(

I really think that gettleman might make that call. While I don't think Rivera will be fired he won't be given carte blanche this time around.  I think that Gettleman is going to be very active in making decisions going forward.
