RR presser live!

He was asked by the ESPN sideline lady coming out of halftime about Newton struggling.

His response was that he didn't think Newton was struggling.

And no, I don't think he was 'just saying it'. I think he really believed it. Realistically, even the biggest of homers could see Newton was struggling tonight.

I've given up, He just doesn't get it.

She even said she reiterated the point and said to Rivera that Cam looked injured on the sideline and Rivera said he didn't notice. Maybe Ron has adult ADD.

Wouldn't call him a fraud.

He was legitimately one of the best defensive coordinators in the league, arguably the best.  But head coach requires a different skill set: things like player evaluation, game management, etc.  Rivera just isn't good at those things.

Dick LeBeau was pretty much the same way.

with that said, our defense should be better. I actually put less blame on them because the offensive failures is why they are on the field too much to get tired and beat. RR should see the big picture and cut the crap! Cam and RR are not a good match! Shula and the panthers are not a good match. the entire oline and Cam are not a good match. and McDerm and RR are bordering on the same. smh

someone has got to go!

this week!

Atlanta is prepped to offensively embarrass us.

Where did I say keep Shula?

JR won't fire Rivera so maybe the demote him to DC so JR can justify paying Ron still. With McDermott being a victim of a bad situation

I've pondered a scenario like that, but a demoted head coach staying on in a lesser position pretty much never happens.

Most of them go back to being coordinators with the idea that they'll get another chance to be a head coach at some point.

Some even wind up getting jobs again way sooner than anyone thought (like John Fox).

someone in the know has said shula will not be our OC next year and this was said before this debacle tonight

They should invite Shula out ofr a cheesesteak tonight and leave him in philly. he needs to be fired tomorrow after the tape is reviewed because RR has to justify not knowing what happened. I'm sick of him counting the red hats in the 200 $ 500 sections every week while we get beat down! a blowout from Atl will confirm us as near tampa status. and yes that mccown cry was tough. lol
