I think in order to be defensively minded you should have a solid understanding of offense... RR is a fraud! 

 

Wouldn't call him a fraud.

 

He was legitimately one of the best defensive coordinators in the league, arguably the best.  But head coach requires a different skill set: things like player evaluation, game management, etc.  Rivera just isn't good at those things.
