We have no offense. No defense. No special teams. This is Gettleman's fault and he should be fired.

Koby Ealy wasn't a need plus he was dropping as a prospect.. OT was a need.

Moses wasn't dropping? So many experts mocked him to us in the first but he went in round 3. If you want to play that game then,

QB was a need and we took jimmy clausen in 2009

WR was a need and we took Dwayne Jarrett and Armani Edwards

DT was a need so we took Fua and McClain

I can keep going if you want

1. 13 million and the lost of a lot flexibility on a "prove it deal" really? ?

That's incompetence on a GM part..

2. I named other pick in other round plus this wasn't the only way to get OT. Maybe not sign garbage FA like Harper, Dickson, Cason, Avant. USE THAT MONEY ON A Solid FA OT..

3. HURNEY didn't get rid of Steve for personal reason. DG did that..

1. Yes a franchise tag trades off a (slightly really) higher one year price so that the team doesn't invest huge amount of guaranteed money in a long term contract. It puts pressure on the player, not the team. Players generally hate it, they'd much rather have that long term deal. There's no loss of flexibility, quite the opposite, when you look at things in the grand scheme of things rather than a microcosm of one season.

2. The players you listed all signed really cheap deals, which is something people don't seem to understand. You can't replace multiple free agents with one higher one, as the other spots still have to be filled. I already agreed that Harper and Cason were garbage and bad signings, though I still don't think you can sign a good SS, a good #2 TE, a starting caliber CB, a good #3 WR AND a starting caliber OT for what we spent on Harper, Dickson, Cason and Avant. If this was even conceivably possible let me know, please show your work.

3. You didn't bring up that, you brought up dead money, which was 100% due to the contract SS originally signed with Hurney.

So instead of drafting the BPA at the bottom of the second round and complaining about Gettleman not addressing a need, we should've drafted Moses, watched him play like poo wearing a panthers jersey, and then complained about Gettleman not being good at evaluating talent instead

Show me a draft scouting report where Ealy and Moses weren't ranked around the same.....

Then you might have made a point...

But since they both were rated as mid 1st early 2nd round picks. BPA also could have fitted a need.

Ealy sure as hell fits a need now.

There would be no dead money if he played out his entire career here so how could that be?

The money is still hitting the cap. There's nothing anyone can do about it. All the dead money Hurney pushed to the future because he couldn't plan ahead is going to be there no matter what.

1. Every Panthers beat reporter is saying the same thing now..

That Hardy was never getting a long-term deal..

So again why are you franchising him for 13 million on a prove it deal when you really don't want to sign him long-term? ?

2. ANTHONY Collins is getting a little less then 5 mil a year from the Bucs. Harper alone is getting 2 mil.. We have 11 million in free space now..

Any questions? ?

3. We cut Steve for personal reason not financial. .. That on DG..

1. Well if Joe Person says so then WELL OK. Honestly I think if no legal drama happens and Hardy beasts one more season of course they are going to try once again to sign him long term, why wouldn't they. He's the 3rd best player on your entire roster at a premium position.

2. Bucs are all wanting to dump AC because he isn't living up to his contract. Glad we didn't give him a contract, just like it looks fortunate that we aren't dealing with Hardy on a big deal.

3. Cutting him for whatever reason is on DG yes. The financials and dead money are on whoever wrote that into his contract, in this case Hurney.

1. I knew you would pull that Joe Person BS excuse. Are you willing to Discredit J Jones, B Voth, Nelson, Gantt, and Richard Walker as well??

They are all saying the same thing..

2. Who's better Collins or Bell and the rest of the crap we have on the field?? Or better yet could he be better then Harper and Cason which could of been the money we used to sign him?

3. The fact we got no savings for cutting a player who at least would be the 2nd best WR on the team is on DG..
