I'm sorry but I rooting for losses the rest of the way...

Unless someone like Andrew Luck, Randy Moss, AP etc.. are available, high draft picks are overrated. Continuity is more important to me.

Ya, season is effectively over, but I'd rather see us compete. The 2001 team competed and was in most games. Build something for next season, play all youngsters, break out the entire playbook and all gadget plays, excite the fans etc.... Just looks like lot of our players have quit this season. I wanna see some effort. Sick of blow outs

I dont think I have ever seen a team look this bad.. This isnt even a bad team.. Jacksonville, Oakland, THOSE are just bad teams. No, what this current Panthers team reminds me of is as though there are abunch of guys out there in pads and uniforms that hate the game of football and they are all asking themselves what the hell they are thinking by choosing to play this sport..

This isnt a bad football team. This team as it stands now consists of abunch of guys that hate the game of football and go through the motions just to put food on the table for their families. Watching this team looks like a lot of guys that literally hate going to the their job, its like you took all the characters from the movie 'Office Space' put them in pads and uniform and there you have the 2014 Carolina panthers.

Im sorry, but this team does not deserve the respect of being called a "bad team." Thats just too insulting to teams like the Jags and Raiders that actually deserve being labeled a bad team and have actually earned that right.. This Panthers team is so bad right now they havent even earned the right to be classified as a bad team in the NFL.

Maybe we can draft a QB?

Let's say we lose our remaining games and finish the season 3-12-1 and land a top five or three pick. When we come to the board Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston are available to be drafted. Would Gettleman decide to draft a new QB and trade Newton?

It sounds silly, but there is some logic to it. By trading him they don't need to add another huge contract to the books, which could end up being in the $20 million or so range. This would allow the team to free up space to sign Kuechly and strengthen in other areas. In regards to trading Cam, we could probably land a couple or a few first round picks and some other picks in a package, which would allow the team to continue strengthening the line up.

I don't see this happening, but at the same time, it wouldn't be too surprising if Gettleman did decide to get his own QB and grab a huge package in a trade for Cam.

That said, if we do land a top ten draft pick, that should give us an opportunity to grab a stud o-lineman.

Half a game out and already rooting for this team to drop dead.

This isn't the 1980s. There's talent throughout the entire draft. Sucking for a better position is not going to do anything.

This fanbase is a joke. Makes me wonder how you people cope with adversity in your own lives.

This is asinine!

We still have a real chance at making the playoffs, despite things looking terribly bleak right now. The Saints lost this weekend too, remember?

We were an awful team for a few years in a row, and now we're in a place where we are hoping to not get lucky enough to make the playoffs again? Gettleman is no idiot. He can see that the offensive line is dangerously bad. He gambled and lost. He'll fix it.

The Seahawks won a home playoff game with a losing record in 2010. I'd like to ask one of their fans after that game if they'd be willing to give up that experience to get a few draft positions higher.
