Oh Lord. Shut your keyboard off. This is not race related at all. Cam has the ability to be a fantastic quarterback. Ed just not doing it right now. I'm just wondering why and trying to start a conversation. At this point in Cam's career, I see similarities in the athletic ability and the potential of those abilities.

I also see an organization hitching everything to Cam as the Falcons did with Vick. When I say that, I mean on the field, not anything else as I don't know what happens off the field. The Panthers need to grow Cam as a QB while at the same time growing the rest of the team for occasions that Cam is not having a great day, which is expected of every QB in the NFL.

Some of you guys take this stuff way too seriously.

Cam has been hit more times within one yard of the line of scrimmage than any other QB since he came into the NFL, and he's more than double the next closest.

 

How many of those are on passing plays and how many from running plays? He was used as our short yardage back his first 2 seasons.

Sorry but if he's like Carr after just a half season then he's mentally weak. He's not the first QB to have a bad Oline and other quarterbacks have stood in there and not become gun shy, especially not this quickly. Rodgers has been sacked 50 times two different seasons.

 

This isn't his first year behind a bad line.

Like somebody else I know. He could float in the deep ball though and flick it beautifully. Not much better than cam, I'll give you that. But definitely better.

They are both pretty poor passers. Vick is way more mobile. I think it's a stupid comparison because they both are pretty much abysmal at QB so who cares. But I did not make the thread. Just commenting on it.

They both sure do have some exciting play off and on, just not what you really want to bring home to mama if you want to build a dynasty in the NFL

Can you please explain to me how my comparison (based on the variables that I mentioned: hype, divided fan base, athletic ability) is off-base? I'm not saying Cam is going to end up like Vick. I'm just saying that, right now, those things remind me of Vick. Nothing more, nothing less.
