No longer a conspiracy

Didn't last year

Sorry man but nothing to gain here.

I can see Gettleman going on the cheap and hedging his bets. If Cam rocks ok I pay. If not ok Cam has less leverage.

I say it's more about being a cheap franchise because it's owned by tue guy who started Hardee's which is the Aldis of fast food.

Maybe cam sucks

Maybe he's incredible.

Cam, Luke, TD, Hardy.

DG is not doing anything to help. You can put Zeus himself behind Byron Bell, Nate Chandler and he will be smashed back into reality. Its easy to sit and listen to the media and just say what other people say, instead of digesting the problem in a football sense.

It's time to stop calling it a conspiracy. Gettleman sabotaged Cam this season. He had both the opportunity and motive. And if he didn't sabotage him then he's extremely incompetent. He even succeeded in turning myself, one of Cam's biggest supporters against him. This team will go nowhere as long as Dave Gettleman is our GM.

It is amazing how bad the talent is on this team. The only player that he signed that is at least average is DeCoud and that's a big if. Every one else on the receiving core and in the secondary are huge liabilities.

Welp Election Day was just last week so maybe aceboogie took a few pointers on timely politicking because it's a stupid theory that's being brought up at a time in which emotions are running high in this forum due to the live thrashing on MNF

I admit, i'm a prisoner of the moment due to the circumstances, but at this point he has to answer for what he's done. He certainly hasn't done anything to help Cam. He took away his best WR, sat idly as the OL was gutted, actively tore apart the receiving corps and replaced them with super scrubs... He did virtually everything he could, or at least allowed everything, that would negatively affect Cam.

Okay, let's say it was incompetence, a few bad decisions, etc. The problem is, once everyone realized that these mistakes were made, he did nothing and he continues to do nothing. That is what is so troubling about it.

I laughed off the initial accusations of this a few weeks back, but not anymore...

Gettleman did this on purpose. He wasted a year of Cam and Luke's careers and a year of our lives as fans.

Sadly, I don't think it was to get a cheaper contract, I think he is planning on getting rid of Cam and this gives him a nice parting shot. Gettleman has been unprofessional and vindictive in his time as GM. I am starting to wonder if this was his attempt at showing Cam up after Cam asked for so much guaranteed money when they first discussed the extension. He wants to show him the power he holds.

I hate to say it, but I dont think Cam will be back next season.

if this is true are we drafting Winston?

Because your QB has to make plays from the pocket, that's what he said right? So he gives him no pocket. Mike Shula hire was for continuity right? So why get rid of all of Cam's WRs knowing he would be out all off season with ankle surgery? The KB pick was basically so it wouldn't be so obvious. He put fuging Byron Bell at LT!

What is there realistically to do at this point in the season?

There aren't any all-pros out there sitting at home waiting for a call.

If Cam doesn't come back next season then I'll believe this thread fully. It just doesn't make sense however. I think Dave had full trust in Rivera and Cam and everybody else he brought in. When Dave came in, he wasn't too high on Rivera either. He wasn't high on anybody and one winning season he went straight to smiles

I feel like its no coincidence since Hardy, we went into a free fall. Karma is a bitch.

@frash, Not at this point, no. But when you have average joe fan saying that we can't go into a season with Bell and Chandler as the tackles and then we do just that... There is a problem.

He actually kept a guy on the active 53 who never played a snap of American football in his life, lol. He never brought in competition for the OL or the receiving unit after the draft.

It just presents a lot of questions. "Why?" being the most obvious.

As I mentioned in the post above, it isn't about right now. It's about what he didn't do up to this point when jt was clear there was a problem.

And seriously Scot, you're watching this team and thinking we would have to go all the way up to an all-pro to make it an upgrade? LOL.
