No longer a conspiracy

It's time to stop calling it a conspiracy. Gettleman sabotaged Cam this season. He had both the opportunity and motive. And if he didn't sabotage him then he's extremely incompetent. He even succeeded in turning myself, one of Cam's biggest supporters against him. This team will go nowhere as long as Dave Gettleman is our GM.

I agree about no longer conspiracy because I am feeling some type of way and even at that it's still speculation. DG now that I look back back...He does have that snake characteristics with him...at the end of the day he's a fugging New Yorker...and I'm from Jersey

Naw man one thing I can't believe is this one. It makes no sense

Steve Smith comments was Dave said how he was jealous of Cam. Why would Dave say that? Was Steve lying?

You know how hard it is to find a franchise QB in today's times? REALLY hard. So for everybody wanting to run Cam out of town, good luck. No way Dave can be that dumb after the season we had last year

I think the panthers sort of overachieved and he felt he can make something out of nothing along with salary cap

    • According to multiple players and staffers in the locker room, some players were asking why Eberflus didn’t call a timeout. Other players got going, too. “Guys were furious,” a staff member said. “It was an accumulation of this season.” “The locker room was ugly,” another staffer said. “There was a lot of yelling.” Said the first player: “We felt as players it’s been too many instances where we fought our way back into games to lose because of bad time management and decision-making.” Multiple sources added that the emotions were so high between the players and their head coach that Eberflus left the locker room immediately after his speech and the exchange with players. There was nothing left to say. It was a moment for this Bears team that would inevitably force chairman George McCaskey into something the franchise had never done before. By Friday morning, Eberflus was out — but not before the team decided to have him address the media over Zoom just after 9 a.m. Two hours later, he was gone. The Bears made it official by sharing statements from general manager Ryan Poles and president/CEO Kevin Warren.
    • You take all this stuff too personally.  Learn to detach. Lol or don't. It's up to you. People don't have the same appreciation or longing for him you seem to have. For me, I just don't understand it. Basically a footnote in Panthers history. Go ahead if you feel he needs it or you need it, but most apparently just don't know why it's such a big deal. Comparing him to guys like kuechly or cam is kind of weak. Those guys made a huge impact on the franchise. Wilks was just a guy we had as a DC a couple times and got him to be an interim. Mildly interesting, but not much more than that as time goes on.
    • @adamjahns   In Detroit, Bears players finally had enough. The locker room was an ugly scene. Players yelled back at their head coach — and he left. The inside story on the final days of Matt Eberflus and where he lost his team.  https://x.com/adamjahns/status/1862848299981541516
