Trent Dilfer: " I'm ashamed of what the Panthers are doing to Cam".

Ever since the Cam be Cam thing came out he has regressed.

It's clear a quick to no huddle offense is the best duct tape we have at the moment.

If we don't use the no huddle tonight I will lose even more faith in this coaching staff and there isn't much left. I've watched some Eagles games this year. They don't have a buch of great guys on their line but they rotate a lot so they have fresh legs. No huddle won't let them do that and Cam seems to have a nice rythm playing no huddle.

Who among the talking heads is calling out Shula or Rivera. The comments are about the offense and the o line which is personnel. The only thing you can say is whether Shula developed Cam and that is what he has done best. It seems the fan base is doing most of the bitching and most fans don't have a clue.

But, sadly, most fans have a better perspective on this team than anyone else it seems.

I don't agree that's what Dilfer is saying.

He isnt saying Newton needs to leave, he's being wasted, yada yada yada.

He's saying the coaching staff botched Cam's development and all his talent has gone for naught. He just reiterated it a few moments ago during a highlight package.

Oddly enough, Young does seem to be saying what you guys think Dilfer is saying which is a change from the norm.

I'm sure Cam would feel better knowing he had Morgan Moses or Anthony Collins protecting his blindside, I'm sure he'd look at the contract we offer and say thanks for getting one of those guys in here so I'd feel more protected, I'll stay. Maybe we should have traded a bunch of picks to move up and take Jake Matthews so then everyone would know we mean business about protecting Cam. I'm sure all the extra time in the pocket Cam would have would get our FA receivers open. Maybe we should have taken a chance on a couple of UDFA LTs this year, they could replace our UDFA tackles from previous years. Maybe Gettleman was on the phone with Andrew Norwell and Seantrel Henderson and could only take one and he chose terribly terribly wrong.

If we had picked up Hue Jackson maybe our RBs would have stayed healthy or maybe our receivers would be more inspired and catch more balls. Maybe if Hue were here he'd get on the headset and say Cam why can't you see Olsen in that play I called for him?? Maybe Philly Brown would be our leading receiver with all our quick throws and screens Cam would be making. Maybe Cam would feel more confident dropping back with a UDFA left-side because Hue made a really good speech or called a season full of perfect plays where we move so fast that our o-line never looks bad and no one gets any pressure on Cam ever and all our receivers never give up on any play and run back to the ball to catch it and never go down on first contact and always get both feet in.

If only we'd sent Hardy away and picked up Jared Veldheer. We'd probably have the Cardinals record.

clearly you don't remember all the uproar over the initial announcement of Shula being hired as the offense of Coordinator everyone was pissed off. And a lot of what is going on right now was pointed to as reasons that Shula should not be hired at the time he was.

I've stated on here before I feel like some days that I'm the only one cursed with a memory that goes back further than the current season, heck the last three games for that matter.

Fans on here get far too caught up in the moment and don't look at the bigger picture there were warning signs that this is going to happen two years ago.

People pissed off wanted someone new and thought Shula was more of the same. Talking heads I respect like Gil Brandt were praising the move saying that the best way to develop Cam would be to provide consistency and the same system so he doesn't turn out like Alex Smith.

As for all these signs, Shula and the offense were pretty good last year. The problem this year was a terrible line, no great receivers and running backs who can't stay healthy. The rest of it is noise and innuendo with little fact to support it.

And please spare me with the great memory. I was watching football and remember things from 40 years ago. Few folks outside of Mr Scot and a few other veterans have much of a clue about any kind of football history.

And that whole we didn't develop him is stupid beyond words. I remember when all the talking heads said it would take Cam 2 years to even be a starter in this league. He has far exceeded most everyone's expectations and the biggest reason for that Shula. Honestly with a decent O line he would be showing additional progress this year as well.
