Cam throws 6 TD's?

They were still a top 10 offense last year.  #10 in the league in yardage, #9 in total points, and #8 in yardage per play to be exact.  And they did score 43 points in the Super Bowl.  It's not like they won with defense, all defense, and nothing but defense like the Bucs and Ravens Super Bowl teams of old.

I agree.  Seattle also ran the ball a lot.  They were second in attempts per game for the league.  They threw it relatively few times.  The only team that threw it less than Seattle was the team that they beat in the NFC championship game.  Of course, one of the reasons Seattle ran it so much was that they were usually ahead in the 4th qtr, so they ran it a lot to run out the clock.  And Wilson probably turned a few passes per game into running attempts. But the point remains that teams can still win by running the ball well, and playing good defense.  Seattle did it, the Giants did it, and we could do it.  Just have to get the right combination of players and maybe coaches.

Regarding Tampa, if memory serves, they were more of a passing team, using short passes to control the tempo instead of the run game.

Cam would throw for 6 an run for 2 with the right offensive philosophy.

As long as you tie yourself to injured RBs and a horrible OL, you have no shot at that.

The Panthers open the first quarter running the ball 70% of the time. They apparently do not understand math, because you will have to compensate for that in the second or third quarter by airing the ball out almost every play. Teams who open up the first quarter running the ball 70% of the time lose 85% of the time. And most of those wins were back in the 1920s.

So don't pin it on the players when the coaches set them up to fail.
