So I caved and got Madden 15

I decided its been a while since I played a football game. Probably about 7-8 years. There's no other games I'm playing atm, so I decided to give Madden a try again and bought it for about 35 bucks on Ebay.

Right now I'm still getting used to the controls. Which btw, it's freaking ridiculous how many combinations of buttons you have to remember if you want to be great at this game. Most of any other game I've played.

The graphics are very generic. It looks like the graphics from when the PS3 first came out (that's what I have btw). Almost NFL2k5-ish. There is a lot they could've done here, but didn't. Even though I think GTA5 was overrated, even that game has better graphics than Madden.

I don't understand taking away season mode. Now you are forced to play as a player, coach, or owner. You can't just simply go into a season with your team and not worry about other crap.

The gaming AI and player movement looked a little improved. Still, they could've done better.

I do like playing as owner though, making the roster the way I want it.

Overall, Madden still doesn't care about it's users and still is putting out sub-par football games when they could've done much better. I play it still though because I bought it almost half priced and I do miss playing football games. Glad I never spent 60 bucks on this.

I still have mine for sale for $40 shipping included. Madden is like dressage. It started out with good intentions but has been so perverted by people that it takes so much work and studying to figure things out.

It really looks like they threw poo together and called it Madden 15. The layout is really weird. You can see jagged edges on the players and coaches. It is a very unpolished game.

Oh man I just realized a big reason why I quit madden in the first place. Sliders. Especially Auto-Sub sliders. I never understood why EA couldn't fix substitutions according to what team's actually do during games. I can never get these things right. My starters would be substituted after a few plays and only come back in for a couple. I couldn't get the right balance. Samething with gameday sliders. In the end, it annoyed me too much and I was fed up with Madden's bs that I decided to quit.

    • yeah. winter backpacking trips were the most miserable and amazing experiences. same with the coldest and snowiest hunting  experiences. i love being in it. makes for incredible memories. the worse it was, the more i ended up loving it. made the greatest memories.  i just want to get out of it afterwards.
    • I forgot about Jackson...definitely elite.  The sad part of your list is that 2 of them were 'there for the taking for the Panthers'.  Rumor has it that Hurney loved Herbert and was vetoed on trying to trade up.  And rumor has it that Frank & McCown wanted Stroud.  I believe both rumors.
    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
