Is Cam Ward Back?

So all of a sudden the Huricanes are on a four game winning streak and only four points out of the playoffs... yes I said playoffs.

In the past four games Ward is 4-0 with a 1.50 goals against average, a .943 save percentage, and 1 shutout.

So the real question is.... Is Cam Ward back?

He looks to have regained that form briefly if nothing else.  I'll wait and see how he's playing in January.

It seems like some of the younger guys are playing better defense, which makes his job a lot easier.

No. He always has streaks where he looks good, but then later he comes back down to earth and starts to suck again.

I think we're actually buying in to Peters system.  Recently, we've been controlling the puck, winning face offs and getting a lot of shots on goal. This leads to less defensive zone time and less work for the goaltender.  Personally, I think Cam is the benefactor of better play from the team as a whole.  He has made a few timely saves though.
