Report: Greg Hardy's Panthers career likely over

LUUUUUKE

Recommended Posts

With the way our FO handled the Steve Smith fiasco combined with the way they basically folded like a lawn chair in supporting Greg Hardy, I'm wondering how this will affect future FA's willingness to sign long term here. If it comes down to basically equal money, will they sign elsewhere?

What a disaster of an offseason.

This is news?

I would say so. With RR saying he was going to make a move trying to get him back on the field at a presser, and then this report comes out directly contradicting what RR said, I would think that constitutes as news.

A lot of fans, myself included were probably all hoping to have him back after the bye. Doesn't look very likely according to this column.

So you're telling me that Dave Gettleman purposely neglected to upgrade our offensive line and secondary to pay Greg Hardy. So you put your most important player's health in jeopardy to pay one man? That's shameful

well he knew it was pretty obvious the secondary was going to take a bad hit and the best bet was to keep the top defensive  front in tact. even in retrospect, it is hard for me to say this was a bad decision. sometimes you swing and miss.

Pie for disastrous offseason, mainly the Smitty point.

As far as FA's likeliness to sign here, don't forget that this is a business. Money talks and BS walks. If they're offered what they feel is fair, they're going to play here.

It'll have a negligible effect, if any

only the most diehard ideologues and people still butthurt over this or that player being released don't at least sort of understand why hardy was franchised

watching this team's pass rush every sunday proves he was worth it

Depends on how the rest of the season plays out. The last thing we need is more uncertainty.

that and edge containment. i was actually pretty surprised how much pressure we got on brees the other night, and even a little on wilson the week before.

Sorry, but I don't agree with you. We could lose every game the rest of the season and we'd still be able to sign a couple big name FAs so long as there is cap space.

We as fans, see this every year. This is a money League, with very few exceptions. If there is money to be had, they will play for whomever has it, period.
