Some hard evidence why Shula needs to be fired now.

You said it from day one and none of us listened.

poo, man. there were a few of us that listened.  I even started a thread that basically said we should get rid of him in September of last year. Unfortunately we can only go back a year, otherwise I'd have linked it.  Shula with his vanilla play calling has to be one of the least imaginative and adaptive OCs in the NFL.

What the hell are you talking about?  He signed off on Rob Chudzinski for his first offensive coordinator.  Rivera does not want his offense to struggle in the red zone and only score 14-17 points.  Sure, he might want them to play ball-control offense to keep the defense on the sideline but...that only works if you can finish the drive with a touchdown.

Yep, he sure did.  And was uncomfortable every minute of that time.

And now that he's wrapped in the putrid milquetoast unimaginative Shula offense, he's snug as a bug in a rug.

I hated the decision to start with. I already knew about past failures and didn't want any part of him. Even last year when everybody was praising him, I still hated him. I knew that he would choke once the playoffs hit (hell, he choked a lot during the regular season but our defense saved our asses) I hated him 2 years ago, and I hate him now.

I hate to break this to you but...

THIS IS BY DESIGN.

THIS IS *EXACTLY* THE KIND OF OFFENSE THAT RON RIVERA WANTS.

Ron Rivera thinks that scoring 14-17 points per game on offense in today's NFL is just fine.

I hope that the tragic truth hasn't spoiled your day, brah.

Next are you going to tell us that fantasy football is so big it's influencing the game?

Gettleman must lack inspiration also. Gettleman co-authored this bullshit. He brought in players to fit this chicken poo, vanilla-marinated offense to a tee.

My guess that we will still be the same old ball control ,clock eating offense, under a new OC,if Ron Rivera remains HC of the Panthers. I like Ron Rivera a lot as a person but I would like to see an offensive minded HC,one that would mold  The Panthers team into a modern NFL team, instead of the outdated 1970 and 80's concept we currently have. Granted,a team having the mindset we now operate under, with an extreme amount of luck, may max out the season at 12-4 but it could also slide down to  6-10 or 5-11,with a few injuries or setbacks.

Hope Shula isn't here next season but he will be for the remainder of this one. If fans can call red zone plays better than he can, why is he in the NFL? Like some of you, I yell at my TV or from the stands what the play should be, and it is frustrating he does the opposite. It's not freakin rocket science, you're running game is ballin, but you decide to attempt a 12 yard pass when it's 3 and 2....I dunno...it baffles me.

He's done his best work as a QB coach. Why they didn't hire Hue Jackson...I guess because Rivera was scared he'd get canned and Jackson would take over.

This is exactly why hue Jackson was never seriously considered for our OC. Ron Rivera saw him as a threat to his job....simple and plain.
