Is Cam Newton the next Jay Cutler?

Good grief people get emotional about Cam.  It's just a damn comparison by some dude which holds a bit of water.  I don't see the big deal or why people are being called bigots/idiots/whatnot.  The calling out of how bad posters is honestly the most annoying thing for me because it includes no football content.  

And I've been reading a lot of threads with the Bills guy and he's clearly not a troll.  He asks for conversation and people just flame him because he critiques our QB sometimes in a bad way.    

 

It's because people want Cam to so badly be our franchise QB that they feel the need to come to his defense anytime someone critiques him. People call me a troll, fake Panthers fan, and fairweather fan all the time because I don't think Cam is a great QB. It's like everybody has to like Cam or they aren't a Panther fan. Pretty ignorant if you ask me.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say. For some reason with THIS GM and owner I do not necessarily see Cam as the long term QB for this franchise. I know some people are completely blinded by their love for Cam but QBs have to WIN in order to be seen as valuable. Is Kap better than Cam? No. But he wins. What about Dalton? Nope. But he wins.

You can blame the GM and owner all you want with the roster they assembled this year but Cam isn't without fault. He has made mistakes that have cost games. He has also kind of reverted back to moody Cam in recent weeks which isn't a good look.

Since Cam has been here we have had a great team for approximately 12 games and we routinely crap the bed on national TV for big games. The rest of the time we've been mediocre at best. For me to give you 100 mil you better have a better record than that.

that was a fast and fairly short group of WRs,with the likes of Drew Hill and Ernest Givins being two of Moons favorite targets in that run and shoot offense attack there in Houston and we have the complete opposite.

Is this supposed to be sarcastic or ironic? If not that's a pretty retarded comment.

Why does he have to be a Hall of Famer or a bust? Joe Flacco won the Super Bowl a couple of seasons ago. Is he a very good quarterback? Or is he somewhere in the 8-15th best in the league?

All Cam needs to be is the Panther's franchise QB.

 

I believe he means fall apart physically, like Vick, who can't stay healthy anymore.

 

And sadly, he has a point. 

 

Granted, Newton is definitely tougher than Vick ever was, but it's easy to tell from recent games that the beating he's taken is wearing him down.

 

At this point, I'm way more worried about Newton becoming another David Carr than another Jay Cutler.
