I believe it is just as bad if you dont discipline your kids as it is if you take it too far. Granted it is a different kind of wrong, but still. Kids need discipline, but there is a line. It should be correction, not anger.

Absolutely.  There was only one kind of discipline when I was a kid.  I got dat ass whooped.  I mostly deserved what I got though, and feel like there's zero negatives that came from it.  I discipline my own kids in different ways.  It all depends on the situation at hand, and even the age of the kid.  We have an 8 year old and a 3 year old, so obviously it's different for each.  We do timeout, loss of privileges, and spanking.  It's all within reason as well.  The point is, like you said, correction.  If you take any method too far, it can have terribly negative effects.  Kids are my weakness, and pull at my heart strings the most.  When I hear about them suffering, for whatever reason, it gets to me.  Especially when it's abuse.  I'd love for child abusers to suffer the most intense, horrible punishment imaginable.  I'll never get how you can abuse a defenseless child, while watching the pain and suffering in their little eyes.

And to all of those of you who say the photos aren't that bad. Consider that the article tells you these wounds were photographed nearly a week after the event occurred. The child was under AP's supervision. It was only after the child was returned home to the mother, that the photos were taken. Disciplining children and what AP did are not even in the same ballpark. And the fact that the charges were dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor makes me sick to my stomach. I hope the devil shoves a flaming football up his ass when he gets to hell.

Peterson plea for immediate reinstatement after his plea deal has been rejected. So he isn't playing this week or untill further notice from the league.
