New York City Panther Fans

Recommended Posts

Any chance any of you would like to get together somewhere for the Eagle game next Monday night? I haven't had the chance to watch a game with a fellow fan since the game in Baltimore with NeverLoseTheFeeling.

Just figured it would be nice to talk about the state of the team/franchise and have a few cold ones. I live in the east village now but wouldn't have a problem traveling to one of the other boroughs.

Not too familiar with the bar scene quite yet, especially those good for viewing Monday Night Football so id be open to any location we could agree on.

Feel free to shoot me a PM or just post in this thread. I think there are quite a few of us in NYC and think it would be fun to get a group together.

I'd be down if we could find a low key bar. I hate crowded, loud places. A bar JUST opened last week next to my building. They have TVs. It's not too popular yet. Not sure how the food is.

Low key bar is exactly what I was imagining. Something where we could all hear one another talk and not have to deal with obnoxious drunks. I'm still really new to the city so I'd be down for literally anywhere if anyone has any suggestions.

I'll try to remember to pop into the bar next door this week to see how many TVs they have and look at the menu. It's called Brownstone Bar & Restaurant. So new they don't even have a site yet. It used to be called Downtown Ale House and was on Livingston. They were all about Sunday Night Football so this might be a win. It's the same owner and staff. Just moved over to Gold St.

Here, three Yelp reviews so far. http://www.yelp.com/biz/brownstone-bar-and-restaurant-downtown-brooklyn

When I was in NYC in September, I watched the Lions game with quite a few Panthers fans in a bar in Brooklyn called Union Grounds. Great spot. It's in Carroll Gardens.

decide on a spot and if i can make it, i will. i prefer brooklyn cuz i will be working a little late and ill take my bike over to the bar after work.

that Union Grounds places looks decent, and it's next to one of my favorite Cuban spots. Right off the F train and like a 5 minute bike ride for me.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
